vaderd
I wonder how the nvidia graphics acceleration can work on this OSX86 release. Do you tried it? I haven't tried it, but I'd say it has just the Alpha kext for nvidia, which was also dicussed here: (http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=2828) included. I seems to have some very basic 2D acceleration. No QE or OpenGL though. Confirm? niteice
Use VMware to create a virtual machine with one of your physical hard drives as the main drive. Boot with the DVD in that and install. And to boot with the DVD in VMware, mount it as a virtual CD Drive in the guest system. Eggman
Can you make a screenshot (or more preferably, a video showing the entire process)? That would be insanely helpful. Gun-Food
This is because to os crashes while loading. On the first screen press F8 and type in: platform=x86PC If this doesn't help type: platform=ACPI On of these switches worked for me great. Reanimation_LP
May be due to the fact you only have 128 set aside for Tiger, and Tiger has a 256MB MINIMUM. jbaruch76
i pushed it up to 256, didn't work, put in the two commands and i had the same problems. and btw, my other version of tiger, the vmware version i have set to 128 and it works fine. im doing this install because i want to boot os x separately from xp Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4057-macosxpcalpha2-kotr-modded-osx86/#findComment-29239 Share on other sites
Eggman
Did you use this install DVD on your VMware version and follow the exact same steps? Gun-Food
It seems to be not a valid version for Intel Macs. You can try it with writing it case sensitive like platform=X86PC I'm not sure which syntax is correct. Eggman
You should try using a method other than the Modded Install DVD. I've used this guide about nine times before, and it works perfectly: http://www.xplodenet.com/blog/?page_id=11 Note that this one only works if it's going to be installed on a separate partition. Good luck! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4057-macosxpcalpha2-kotr-modded-osx86/#findComment-29416 Share on other sites
