MAC.OS.X.PC.ALPHA.2-KOTR ( modded OSX86 )

This is a very stable version of mac OSx86, it will work very well under sse2 or sse3, all is working and very speedy!

-nvidia graphics acceleration is now supported!

-this is wrapped in the original easy to use installer (if the hacked original install didnt work, dont give up hope... this still will probably work for you

Found it on your favourite torrent site, but what is this release? Anyone has an idea?

I wonder how the nvidia graphics acceleration can work on this OSX86 release. Do you tried it?

I haven't tried it, but I'd say it has just the Alpha kext for nvidia, which was also dicussed here: (http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=2828) included. I seems to have some very basic 2D acceleration. No QE or OpenGL though. Confirm? ;)

Use VMware to create a virtual machine with one of your physical hard drives as the main drive. Boot with the DVD in that and install.

if i do this can i install the os on a different partition or do i ahve to run it through vmware? i want it to boot separately from windows

and what do you mean by boot with the dvd in "that" and install

You can boot without directly after that. And to boot with the DVD in VMware, mount it as a virtual CD Drive in the guest system.

You should try using a method other than the Modded Install DVD. I've used this guide about nine times before, and it works perfectly:

Note that this one only works if it's going to be installed on a separate partition.

Good luck!
