Hi there,

just got my copy of Windows Vista Home Premium and installed it on my MacBook Pro (C2D 2.16 GHz CPU) without running into any major problems. However, I've just realized that the cpu clock is somehow locked at the maximum speed all the time and won't drop below 2,16GHz (even when I'm not running any applications)! Any ideas? I've already checked the power management settings (which are set so the highest energy saving level) or unpluged the power cable...

Thanks,

Tom

I'm not sure if this will work on a mac or not, but I use it on my laptop to monitor and set the cpu speed.

Notebook Hardware Control

Not sure if it supports all core2duo's but I know it works on AMD Turion's aswell as Conroe's ;)

Edit: I notice on their page they have a Intel Core Duo and Intel Core 2 Duo patch
