I just noticed a new Nvidia GeForce driver for Vista at nvidia.com.

Windows Vista x86 RTM

ForceWare Release 95

Version: 97.46

Release Date: January 5, 2007

WHQL Driver

EDIT: So far unable to install new driver. install claims there is a missing file.

EDIT 2: Finally able to get it installed after uninstalling previous driver and deleting all files beginning with "nv" in "windows\system32" directory.

Same problem here. AGP Nvidia 5700LE, run the installer, then "Cannot find suitable hardware...". Oh well, aero runs smooth even on such an old card, so I'm pleased.

For people having trouble with new nvidia driver i had same problem on the pc with not being able to find hardware

what you do is install it as normal then the error will come up saying no hardware detected but it will have put a folder called nvidia in c:\programs Just right click on my computer icon then select properties then choose hardware then device manager next select display adapters open that and right click on your display adapter and update driver then browse to c:\programs\nvidia and driver will go on just fine
