TribesMan
Same here... OSX 1048 AMD FINAL... nForce 4 + A64... perfect. Except SATA Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37569-amd-systems-1048/#findComment-267840 Share on other sites
JaS
Although I know the Tubgirl release is a great one,Don't you think this is irrelevant as no one other then beta testers for the amd side of my dvd have tried it ? Also my point with the amd intel iso is to give sse2 users of these cpu types the chance to run the latest kernel with the latest Mac os. I have slipstreamed both the amd and intel parts of my iso to be up to date post install, something else to consider when choosing. Maxintot
Same here... OSX 1048 AMD FINAL... nForce 4 + A64... perfect. Except SATA It's bad . That means I cannot install MacOS on my SATA hard disk. Do I need to buy a PATA drive? 7210211
okay i installed the tubgirl final and was really impressed, it was fast smooth, and video card driver was installed Jas, the reason im exited about your release is because your JAS!!! and because this release includes the AMD support with the new kernel and titan support i cant' wait to finish downloading your release and try it! GanTech
The only realease I've gotten to work (and it works very well xbench=119) was Tubgirl's release. I get consistant kernal panic with the JAS release. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37569-amd-systems-1048/#findComment-268431 Share on other sites
phun8890
I am running on 1048 AMD FINAL also. Installed all the drivers I need to operate and do my work that Mac required. Run pretty fast too ever since I bought a new hard drive, smooth. RyanThaDude29
now that JaS latest release has been around for a while and most of you have tryed it... what to you guys think? Tubgirl better or not? I tried a few times to get Final to work on my DFI LP nF4 Ultra-D but constant kernel panics. JaS's panicked on first try but worked fine on second. Natit was tricky to get working though, but finally succeeded! aNILEator
haven't had any success with JaS (patched with PPF) yet, TubGirl worked great (Couldn't get my GFX card workign fully QE/CI and all resolutions ) well managed to get JaS installed, is much 'nicer looking' I finally have the graphical bootup process however i still can't get any patch for my X1600 to work, also forcedeth is not installed with JaS release whereas TubGirl's it is which was very handy where i could download patches etc straight away, (especially as my USB memory sticks are all broken :'( and i don't want to waste a CD on small patches) Edited January 19, 2007 by aNILEator Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37569-amd-systems-1048/#findComment-278364 Share on other sites
