Rikski
Hi All, Note to MacintizeD & kaaspad - This Driver is being developed and therefore will not be stable (although the core code is stable) - it's more a matter of reverse engineering how the apple os require's the information to/from it to the apple kernel. So unfortunately it will not be stable until they iron out the issues - also size of file (does it really matter?) - again the code is for testing and getting debug reports (for reverse engineering). I'm not flaming you guys - but at the moment the driver is likely to cause you a crashing system (and the knowledge/software to fix it - let's not get into a how to - on this thread!). Thank you for your patients. Zoney
I've just started using MacOSX, and installed Leopard. I have a iwi3945 card. Would I be able to test/use the drivers posted here, so I could post my logs? Because what is happening is: I run the installer and after a few seconds OSX says I have to hold down the power button. And I'm not sure if the drivers are correctly installed, because some of the driver posted here I tried made me have to go in and delete the iwi3945 folder in .../Extensions, to be able to boot up. And other releases I were able to boot up, but during the installation I still got the "hold down the power button" message. Excellent work in working for the support for the iwi3945 card Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/138/#findComment-494336 Share on other sites

koenlek
Zoney, Your hackintosh hangs while booting due to a Kernel Panic (KP). When you boot in verbose mode you get to see text containing information about the booting process and thus about the KP. When you need to press F8 (if i'm right... In most cases you see a black darwin screen which tells you which key to press to enter boot options). and then type the -v (not sure about that again), followed by pressing enter. You can take a picture of the kp and post it. I don't know how to post log's. It's likely that the logs are files on you osx system partition. To acces them you can boot in safe mode (by setting boot option -x i suppose); you're computer will boot then again. this way you can also remove the driver's .kext . Good Luck.
