L4NC3R
I would like to thank you for your hard work on this. I just installed OSx86 on my Dell M1710. I would love to help with testing, but alas, my knowledge with mac is limited to the past 30 minutes I've been using it. I would love to help out in the near future when I learn a lot more about it. But in the meantime, thank you to everyone out there helping out. neo sonic
I got a Sony VAIO VGN-FE890, with the dreaded intel 3945 wireless card (currently using ethernet to connect). I Installed mac.nub's 10.4.10 release with winxp on dualboot. If there's anything I can help with testing, please let me know. Please consider that I am a total noob in Mac, so, you'd have to tell me where to find things and stuff. I've been seeing others post logs. If I knew where those logs are, I could post 'em as well. All I know is, I downloaded the last 3945 driver posted by jalavoui previous to the one in post 3281. Installed without problems. It got detected as a "PCI Ethernet Slot pci8086, 4222". Using the networkselector tool, it does nothing, however, sometimes, it sort of paused for 3 or 4 seconds before giving me the options again, but still, I sorta checked the Airport utility, still nothing. Spamming option 1 like 8 or 9 times gave me an error (the thing that grays the screen out and asks you in like 4 or 5 languages to restart/turn off, with no way to do anything else... is that a kernel panic?). Hope that helped. If those logs help more, then tell me where the heck the system generates them and how to get to them, then I'll join the crash test team Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/132/#findComment-488335 Share on other sites

yozh
Ok wheel I think the kext is loaded.... I didnt get an error. Apperently sudo and su is not working in normal mode had to -s and cahnge permissions, but after it loaded in normal mode there is no card loaded and nothing in Network in settings, as well as ifconfig doesnt show the card, the nsGUI doesnt work at all and the networkselector just quits with this error"Could not get ID for kernel control.2" . I wonder If I have to reinstall Leo I keep getting "CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35" when I try to use sudo I have to research more.
