PeterGriff
iwi3945 After a fresh install I installed the driver and got kernal panic when the card was on, I rebooted into Verbose mode and no kernal paninc and it happens like that everytime, normal boot, card on kernal panic, verbose mode, card on no kernal panic and no kernal panic when card is off, so I am unable to take a picture of the kernal panic as I cant see it myself . The card is also not listed in Network Preferences but shows the Interface in the Network Utility, it had an IP address listed in the Utility and says the status is "Inactive" (also under "Transfer Statistics" under "Send Errors" there is a 1). I attach the logs as well, hope they help. EDIT: I also notice that I see "No AirPort driver" crop up alot. Do I need the AirPort driver for this driver to work? Geneman
first, Jalavoiu, thank you for your great work on developing the drivers! I tried to install the driver (the last version from the forum, but this occurs on all latest versions) on a Intel 2200BG MINIPCI. The driver is loaded, though the card is not visible under Network. The NetworkSelector gives "Could not get ID for kernel control.2". So I guess the card is not connected to the driver (?). I added 0x27028086 to the string under IOPCIMatch in de plist (as mentioned in Windows) in iwi2200.kext/Contents/info.plist and restarted. But still the same problem. I searched almost the whole thread about this, page after page, but can't find anything. I saw the integer under p_disable is set to 1, I tried to set this on 0. I thought maybe it "disables" PCI-support. No effect. Hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance! auqs10
Hi Jalavoui, I attached together with the image captures the logs extracted and comments are included in system.txt. After first install I started the system in single user mode, then I associated the new discovered card in Network Preferences (4 times restart to have finally card association). At last, again I started in single user mode and tested as you suggested. That finally boots mac osx normally, before it was crashing. When crashing there were two different crash screens depending on my hw switch position. If I leave HW switch on computer loads first desktop screen and crashes. On the other hand, if I leave HW switch off it crashes during boot without showing any sign of loading desktop.
