jalavoui
Jalavoui, would help to send you extracted logs from an iMac with Airport? nop,but i really can use a linux log for the iwlwifi-0.0.32 - it's the same i'm trying to port i also notice that if you get this in log: rfkill2 0x1 the card is off and there's no way to test it while it's in this state iwi3945 scan hack if the driver goes up wait and check the logs for the scan results. if you get a card off (rfkill) you'll need to reboot and test the driver again some of the iwidarwin administrators have this card, who wants to help? for those who can't use the driver due to the mac adrress bug =ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff check the iwidarwin isue: http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/issues/detail?id=42 iwi3945.dmg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/119/#findComment-462238 Share on other sites
auqs10
Hi Jalavoui, there are some good news. I am uploading logs from the both versions posted today, because the version uploaded in post #2945 had a rfkill 0x0 in one stage, unfortunately at that moment the system hanged-up. I included comments in both system.txt My card is launched automaticaly with the system directly from BIOS, and I set it as ON always. auqs10
Here are two documents I found somewhere on net, about How To.. WireLess. Not many instructions but there are direct contacts to developers. In the PDF file (Winrar3 multivolume archived due to size larger than 2 MB) there are details from page 77-80 about two types of iwi3945. jalavoui
the iwi2200 driver as a timeout for sending commands: HZ but iwi3945 as HZ/2 i do hope this can be so simple as it looks maybe this make the driver work i'll wait a while for the logs - anyone online? Here are two documents I found somewhere on net, about How To.. this is fine for testing this driver - i'd like to see the logs from linux iwi3945 best setting for testing the driver are: RFKILL base status: 0x1 rfkill2 0x0 as far as i see in logs this means the radio is on and few bugs should happen iwi3945.dmg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/119/#findComment-462447 Share on other sites

(boot (press F8) type -s) copy networkselector to the / folder after typing sh etc/rc wait for the driver finish loading type ./networkselector to call it and run the test anyone with status on the iwi2100 driver? jalavoui
iwi2200 this release as features related with speed and other stuff and for secure networks detection i've added in nsgui a column for flags so if you want to connect to one of thoses report the flags you see and most important the safe net type and anything else you know about the network. eg: WEP with a 64 bit key don't try to associate to those networks - it's not ready yeat report speed tests if you can (against linux, windows) if you have the same log as funnypanks, try the solution i've posted in iwidarwin - see previous posts but in theory if you have in ioreg: pci8086,4222 the driver should work... just remebered that there's a solution for (in log) darwin_iwi3945 map is zero in this thread - i don't remeber what it is - try to do a search iwi2200.dmg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/119/#findComment-462633 Share on other sites
robertofer
Hi, i repaired the permissions and still giving me the same msg, is there a way better than reinstalling osx?, i'm using the uphuck 10.4.9 i r3. thanks yes, use norton ghost. Install uphuck, reboot from FLOPPY or USB or CD whith DOS system and ghost.exe (driver for DOS for mouse will help) and make an image (compressed) of your uphuck partition fresh installed that you can save on windows partition or external USB drive. This partition can be restorated after an error causated from any wrong installation (via FLOPPY or USB or CD whith DOS) and give you, in minutes, the uphuck initially installed. Sorry for my poor english. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/119/#findComment-462815 Share on other sites
auqs10
Here is only the system.txt extracted, and comments included. Again at first step seemed that works, but system hanged-up after the second hit of option 1. After restart, the rfkill and rfkill2 switched their values. funnypanks
@cupsarefine. we could use some logs please How do I create log's to help development of the drivers? 1. open Terminal % sudo -s % cd ~/Desktop % dmesg > dmesg.txt % cat /var/log/system.log > system.txt % ioreg -w 0 > ioreg.txt 2. Now you have 3 log files; dmesg.txt, system.txt and ioreg.txt you can find them on the desktop once u have the files attach them to your reply. save them on usb first and post in windows if u have to.
