xkazu
Hi,all. I created new iwi2200 package. I seem that this improves performance and stability. this is test version. if user get "BUG:" or "BUGS:" output or kernel panic, plz repot to this forum. this package dont fix io802111family dependecy. anyone dont require to post report about dependency. if this pkg work better and someone cannot download from google code, I will post package in this forum. changelog: - based on r174. - multiple mbuf tx transfter support.( tx performance is improved) - fixed kernel panic caused by invalid tx packets. plz download from link of http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/downloads/detail?name=iwi2200-v6-test2-xkazu.dmg ://http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/...est2-xkazu.dmg ://http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/...est2-xkazu.dmg ://http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/...est2-xkazu.dmg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/34/#findComment-308742 Share on other sites
mcdull
I would like to test it with my 2915ABG, but I still has no Airport card detected, will post system log later. I had tried the kext, and the 2915ABG is still recognized as a internel Ethernet. Therefore no airport menu. But it seem to associate correctly with one of the open network, which shown in the attachement. Are there any ways to enable the airport menu? (My profiler shows that I had a third party wireless card instead of airport) Finally, when I uses the iwi2200 kext, my internal wired lan won't work, I have to switch the wireless off to get my onboard lan to work. systemlog.rtf Edited February 22, 2007 by mcdull Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/34/#findComment-308743 Share on other sites

Nebzar
Hope this helps. Since v. 9b loads successfully before kernel panic, I managed to issue the kextload -v 6 iwi3945.kext command from a remote pc with ssh, so to capture the output of the command. I removed from the beginning of that output a whole bunch of lines, saying: kextload: added cached kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/ACard62xxM.kext ... ... kextload: added cached kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/Xerox USB Printing.kext Here it is: kextload.txt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/34/#findComment-308825 Share on other sites

patatester
hey jalavoui, think u could post the kexts instead of dmg files? imo there is no point to install right now. it can cause kernel panics on boot which can be very problematic for unexperienced users.. a lot easier to do kextload -v iwi3945.kext ... The speed seen to be better than the iwi2200v6 test, but I have got an Kernel Panic after 5 min. of use. Kernel panic doesn't occure in my case when my card is connected to network, with the previous version. Glauber Lobo
xKazu, the driver speed is good, not 100% i know, but it is good, very good. Crash (kernel panic) occurrs with big files downloads or after 1 hours (more or less) of safari navigation and/or getting emails. Man, greater job ! for your information: with v6 test original version the average speed with downloads is about 20k (my cable link is a 4mb) now with v6 v2test2 getting 62k, yeah !!! I look like a fixing kernel panic and stalling on transfering big file. I am new to this thread, and do not have any clue as to how much of all this is supposed to work; the thread is simply too long. Here goes: This one associates to a nearby open network automatically (dmesg shows this, and i get an IP and I can ping the router), but the AirPort menu item/symbol shows status disconnected and the menu lists none of the available networks. I cannot manually associate to a network i know is there, and networks cannot be created. Hope it helps. I will get log info and so on if needed.
