strangeron
As of April 20, 2026, Apple has released the Release Candidate (RC) for macOS Sequoia 15.7.7 (build 24G716) to developers. This update follows earlier 15.7.x releases, such as 15.7.5, which aimed to address kernel memory leaks and WebKit vulnerabilities. These updates focus on security, stability, and bug fixes. 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362591-pre-release-macos-sequoia-1576/#findComment-2849409 Share on other sites
dafob
In the latest version 15.7.7, does anyone have issues with downloading files using Safari? When trying to download anything with Safari, the download completes but then it reports "Cannot Move File" and the download shows up as partial download file. Tried changing the download path, drive, etc. with same results. Have seen others report similar issues on reddit. Trying to see if this is widespread or isolated to a few of us. Just my opinion, Released July 29, 2025 — 18.6 (20621.3.11) was enough for Sequoia or not, Safari 26 is it fully compatible with Sequoia: that is the question ! 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362591-pre-release-macos-sequoia-1576/#findComment-2849425 Share on other sites

I'm using Safari 26.5 on Sequoia 15.7.7 and experiencing file download issues. There are no problems with other browsers. Right-click, select "Show package contents". The downloaded file is there 😂 Edited April 23 by strangeron 2 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362591-pre-release-macos-sequoia-1576/#findComment-2849430 Share on other sites

deeveedee
That might have been the fastest incremental update, yet. Very easy upgrade to 15.7.7 (24G720) with Safari 26.5 Seed 3. itlwm (Intel Wi-Fi) still working perfectly with SIP fully enabled (csr-active-config = <00000000>).
