If an RX580 isn't working on a Mac, my first thought is that this card is an RX 580 2048SP.

The only cards that are not supported are the RX 580 2048SP and RX 590 GME.

Check first.

If so, the problem can still be solved.

So is it possible that i keep my main GPU plugged in but use my iGPU for macOS?, If so can you please recommend a guide thats easy to follow and isn't confusing, thanks.

@cipiter I just started looking at your new EFI.  The EFI is missing DeviceProperties for your iGPU and may or may not need DeviceProperties for your dGPU.  In your boot-args, you have '-vhtrcfg=0x4' which I'm not familiar with, but if it is a valid boot-arg, I would think it would be 'vhtrcfg=0x4' since boot-args that have an assignment with "=" typically don't have a "-" at the beginning.  What does "vhtrcfg=0x4" do?

I was trying to google but couldn't find anything so i tried asking AI (Grok to be exact) and it said to try that so i tried that but it didn't worked so i left it there not thinking much of it no other reasons.

HD Graphics 4600 can be run on Sequoia, but OCLP is required.

By the way, the RX580 2048SP can be flashed with a correct RX 570 vBios. And it works.

Don't wanna risk flashing my GPU as its the only one i have right now, and is it difficult using OCLP for my iGPU?

t's not difficult. There are many resources available on the subject, especially IMforum. If you encounter any problems, help will be available.

I know but really don't wanna risk it right now for now i can stick with my iGPU and will try the patching method after having a smoothly working mac.

Sorry, it may be trivial but have you tried this kext?

No i haven't and i think it might not be for me since i have an intel CPU, please correct me if I'm wrong or have misunderstood something.

I recommend you follow the video and use the integrated card.

Intel® HD Graphics 4600

Sorry but " Haswell iGPUs are only supported up-to macOS 12 "  desktop-haswell-and-broadwell  , to make it work, you need OCLP as already specified by strangeron

Ho provato con il mio Mac, ma mi restituisce sempre la mia scheda, tuttavia nelle impostazioni di Hackintool c'è il 4600, quindi tentare non nuoce.

Of course, in fact I don't understand why not use oclp.

Just tried the video method and was just stuck in the start with white lines and wasn't getting past that Screenshot attached below..

Just a quick question is it possible that i run my iGPU in headless mode and leave main GPU plugged in and don't have to use seperate disply cable for iGPU patch cuz the only other cable is VGA on my board for the iGPU

  • disable igpu in bios

    Graphics → Disabled - GPU Multi-Monitor → Disable - Primary Display → PEG / PCIe

  • nothing else is needed, as long as it is a UEFI GPU

Thanks but I've discovered that my RX580 is a fake RX580 so i don't think changing these settings gonna help.
