Good morning, just seen this, not tried yet (I'm not at home), Fenvi T919 device id is not listed but I'll give a try.

Revive your legacy Broadcom Wi-Fi cards on macOS Sonoma, Sequoia, and Tahoe without root patches.

If I’m not mistaken, the kext is meant for FullMac Broadcom chips, not for SoftMac models like the one the Fenvi T919 card has.

Don't waste your time. This driver doesn't work with either the Fenvi T-919 or the Fenvi FV-HB1200. I followed the instructions exactly, but both my cards still didn't work. So, we continue to wait for full support from OCLP.

That's strange, I'm not getting it!!!!

At the moment I am downloading the stand alone file with the mind of installing/upgrading it that way.

This is the second Release.
If you're on 26.1 (Beta), you won't be able to detect this.

@fabiosun, encryption on a real Mac makes minimal sense, and even less so on a hacked one...

Absolutely right. I've long held the opinion that encrypting data for private individuals is utter nonsense. Unless you work for the FBI or NSA or some other government agency.

Upgraded to 26.0.1 using the usual method.  This seemed ok so I applied OCLP mod patches and rebooted.  Cleared NVRAM and entered Tahoe then BAM!  Could not boot.  The progress bar would get to a certain point and freeze.  I reinstalled the OS and this worked ok.  Got to the desktop.  I think there is a problem with the OCLP mod patches.  Anyone else with this problem?

Cheers, Howard

I want to laugh because I assume this is a joke - right?

Thanks @fabiosun I use WEG from Carnations-Botanica. Violet strips remains in verbose mode (in the past, official WEG love this issue), but I can boot Tahoe correctly.

You can laugh out loud if you like, I'm completely serious.

I'm always happy to receive messages like "My FileVault was automatically activated and I can't get back,"

and some even write that they had to reinstall because of it.

I always think: It's your own fault, why do you do such {censored}!!!

@AlfredoM If your issue is specifically with File Vault, that's not the same as your statement (originally Verdazil's confusing statement) that 'encrypting data ... is utter nonsense.' I'm sure if the two of you think long enough, you'll discover use cases for non-government employees that require encryption.

EDIT: This is OT, so if we still need to discuss, AlfredoM or Verdazil should create a new thread titled 'Encrypting data is utter nonsense' and we can continue there.

To all:

I update macOS Tahoe 26.0 to 26.0.1 on my Z390 machine. There are some Strangeness:

  • custom wallpaper replace to default
  • apps at startup (ESP Mounter, Heliport), apps in Applications folder (such as XCODE, Hackintool, PlistEdit Pro and Python) are moving to relocated items in Share folder.

Someone have the same issue or know why it's happen !

@deeveedee +1 here.

@AlfredoM You will be surprised that the encryption is mandatory for many industries. When we created the cybersecurity policy in the company I work for, that was one of the important requirements (1200 people). Same applies for Windows and MacOS users.

Now, if you talk about the few people playing with their hacks on the side and getting locked because of the FileVault/BitLocker...that's a whole different story. Tech forums are not a good representation of how "normal" people use the encryption :D

A controversy is brewing over this image of mine where I showed that I updated to 26.01.
I don't understand what and how the complex issue of FileVault or encrypting things could come into play :)

ESP Mounter, OpenCore configurator... Hackintool, PlistEdit Pro and Python... everything is still here
