Well, I revelled AppleGVA to 12.5 and added AMD Polaris under Tahoe. I don't have a Real Mac for testing, so I don't know exactly what will happen.

 

Are there any warriors to test the AMD Polaris patch?

Hi.
I'm trying to do a clean install of macOS Tahoe Beta 3.
But I'm having trouble.
I'm using the same EFI as macOS Tahoe Beta 2.:
SMBios: MacPro7.1
BIOS: Internal Graphics: Disabled.
OC: 1.0.5
Boot-args: -v -lilubetaall -alcbeta -wegbeta watchdog=0
Kexts: AMFIPass.kext, AppleALC.kext, AppleIGB.kext, IntelMausiEthernet.kext, IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext (23.0.0 24.99.99), IOSkywalkFamily.kext (23.0.0 24.99.99), Lilu.kext, NVMeFix.kext, RestrictEvents.kext, SMCProcessor.kext, SMCSuperIO.kext, USBMap.kext, VirtualSMC.kext, WhateverGreen.kext (FALSE) and XHCI-unsupported.kext.
It passes the initial phase (verbose) fine as long as WhateverGreen.kext (FALSE).
I can start the Beta 3 installation, but the installation stops at:
About 17 minutes remaining.

This phenomenon often occurs after Tahoe Beta 2 and has been encountered many times. It looks like an issue with AEA decryption, but in fact it doesn't crash. After waiting for 1-3 hours, it will automatically restart and enter the second phase of installation. My Z790 encountered this issue and restarted after approximately 1 hour and 27 minutes

Cerca de 17 minutos restantes.

 

 

You can leave the mouse in an infinite loop — it will install. It stops right there, but don’t give up. It stays like that for around 30 minutes, then the screen goes black. Just click the mouse or press Enter — don’t hit Space — and everything will be fine. Be patient and wait, little grasshopper. ;)

Hi my dear, I managed to get it working on my Z790 with a fresh install using Clover 5162 — took me just 20 minutes. :thumbsup_anim: :plane:

AMD Polaris was not working in Tahoe beta 1. But in beta 2,3 all is good. You don't need to bother.

Polaris here refers to the hardware on older Macs, not Hackintosh...

Here my friend, test it, I think you need many fixes for you Z790 ( I try fix this)

         Avoid using:

  • AppleALC.kext

  • USBInjectAll.kext

  • XHCI-unsupported.kext (try with and without — but if you can avoid it, better)

  • WhateverGreen.kext (avoid on RX 580, RX 6900, for example — at least until the installation is complete)

  • IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext

  • IOSkywalkFamily.kext

  • AirportBrcmFixup.kext

  • AirportItlwm.kext

  • AMDRadeonNavi2xExt.kext

  • AMFIPass.kext

  • CommanderProFix.kext ??

My ALC892 from my B360M Aorus Gigabyte not Works with VoodooHDA too, I have no idea, but works with OCLP-Mod compiled bye @laobamac_yyds like a charm!! Follow the instructions !! I have been possible use output sound from my 27" Corsair Display and works OOB !! ;)

It's my message that's behind. As of yesterday, when I was helping a brother install AsRock Z890, I still needed to fake IDs, but just now I checked the submission records and found that it already supports device IDs with 800PCH.😂
