Is it possible that wasn't an accident? Well, I've never used OCLP except for testing, and I'm not going to use it now in the final stretch... so if there's no more AppleHDA, this is as far as I'm concerned with Hackintosh. I'll wait for beta 3 in case they include it again; if not, I won't try any more betas... but it was good while it lasted. I've had a great time with Hackintosh since 2007. Takiller
Good evening my favorites 😁, any advice as to what might be the cause of my dual booting with windows 11 to no longer operate after upgrading to beta 2? deeveedee
@PoMpIs I did some experimenting and found that VoodooHDA.kext works in Tahoe with csr-active-config = <01000000> (only allowing untrusted kexts - no other disabled SIP restrictions). With VoodooHDA, we don't have to break the APFS seal as is the case with OCLP patches. We're already injecting untrusted kexts with our boot loaders, so this SIP setting ( csr-active-config = <01000000> ) doesn't change much from a security standpoint. If that's your hang-up, check out these posts starting here. I even have two Sound Blaster USB cards that work natively in the Tahoe, and I don't have to disable SIP... But I don't like having the built-in audio unused, and the Sound Blaster itself looks ugly hanging out of a USB port. But this would be the cleanest option. 🤔 Edited June 30, 2025 by PoMpIs 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361162-pre-release-macos-tahoe/page/77/#findComment-2835654 Share on other sites
