With some going this route leaves me asking the question, is Tahoe forcing people to purchase expensive Cards??!!

Considering this is the last macOS that will be available to Hackintosh, personally I don't think it is a good economical move.

The reasons I would support or encourage such a move are if your Card is now obsolete and not supported in Tahoe.

The other reason, to improve Game Graphics in Windows, other than those two reasons, it is a no, no for me.

Oh I forgot a third reason to get a fancy RX6600 Card........I have money to burn.

Don't be mad at me, every man steps to a different beat, just my 2 cents.

For me was an wise decision because I had an Windows full of Car games and then is heavy for my current RX 570 OC... Since I sealed my Xbox Series X...

Now I will has a decent PC that plays every game.

Here in Brazil with all taxes included my RX 6600 will cost me like 345USD...

Is a big money, but considering that this is my main PC and I use a lot for gaming, is cheap for what it will delivery.

Regards,

Fernando.

Для меня это было мудрым решением, так как у меня Windows, полный игр для автомобилей, и он тяжеловат для моей нынешней RX 570 OC... Так как я запечатал свой Xbox Series X...

It's just a sport))

@ichelash

Can your HD530 hackintosh wakeup from S3 sleep without blank screen issue ?

If so, can you share your config.plist for me to compare mine why I had such an issue of HD 530 in Lenovo M900 and Acer Veriton X6650G hackintoshs.

@ichelash  My desktop HD630 patch works fine in Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia and Tahoe. It might work.

So, some folks on this site are essential, because they spend a lot of their time helping others.

Obviously, Anto65 has been helping others get past the difficulties with installing Tahoe on their systems.  Kudos to him.  Many, many kudos!

But there are others.  For me, I would not have been able to install Tahoe on my Z790 without special assistance from user D-an-W.  After days of struggling, I was nowhere.  D-an-W has the same motherboard I have, and in desperation, after reading that he had successfully installed Tahoe, well, I contacted him.

He graciously offered assistance (his EFI), and although my system had some differences, and needed some adjustments, I eventually got past the dreaded 509 error, and installed Tahoe.  Oh, it wasn't simple - SSDT-DTPG, essential for Thunderbolt, will not work on Tahoe, for me, if I loaded it, even after the successful install, my system was dead in the water.  There were other challenges - I needed to reload my bios and start from scratch (bios - load optimized defaults), and finally, upgrading my successful Sequoia install (all working just fine including TB) to Tahoe failed, well, then I went for a complete new install.  That's when it finally completed the install and I was able to use migration assistant to complete the install.

Thank you, D-an-W!!  Kudos!
