im using 1 EFI folder for Sequoia, another EFI for Tahoe installation and another EFI for after installation.

That's how crazy is this Ta-Whore is.

Did I mentioned that I really don't like how everything is rounded? Way too much rounded.

 

Question: Was anyone able to install it with RX5700XT? I have one under the bed so I would give it a try. Anyone?

You will definitely find the solution. I use the same EFI folder for Ventura, Sequoia and Tahoe.

Obviously this is because of the omissions made in the Files to get Tahoe installed and boot.

 

The work around I use, just before the machine gets to the boot menu I choose the disk to boot from by(on my machine) clicking the F11 Key.

For Tahoe when the machine boots up, it automatically goes to that disk any way. Hope that removes the confusion.

 

Fortunately I seem to be able to use both Tahoe and Sequoia with the same EFI.

 

For Tahoe I had to update my USBMap.kext (Thanks again @Anto65!) disable WEG, remove a WEG boot argument (agdpmod=pikera) and enable the kernel quirk "DisableIOMapper".

 

What I am not certain of is how that will effect the performance of my dGPU in either OS.

I agree, the same EFI starts Windows Clover 🤭  Ventura Sonoma Sequoia Tahoe (a bit too much stuff ... I have to eliminate something)  Every now and then I also get obsessed with Linux 😆

Obviously there is no trace of OCLP or Kext Radeon in that case I think it can be managed from the min / maxkernel

Maybe for boot-args it could be a problem ? ! 🤔

What did you have to change to boot Tahoe?

 

You can do the min / max kernel thing on kext files but no sure about other entries.

All I did was update the EFI folder that I was using. Also, a Booter/Patch to be able to use iMac Pro 1.1.

PS. Just had a thought, is that a Min, Max entry in the config.plist?

I also use one EFI to boot between Ventura, Sequoia and Tahoe. Same EFI that i shared with you from @MaLd0n no panics when booting between the 3 for me.

The issue is with Apple Music in Teaho, as it is working fine in Sequoia and Monterey. I have sound in Safari YouTube, there's sound in Apple TV app previews and yet there's nothing in music app 🤔. Usb c, bluetooth headphones and internal speakers in all of them no sound from the music app in Teaho.

Are you using R-Drive Image on Windows to create backup of macOS volume or disk and restore it when necessary? Does it work well?
