Hello everybody

Sorry for my english :hysterical:

I have a problem I think rather difficult.

Here the message which is posted when the DVD launches out: System config'/com.apple. Boot.plist' not found.

Apparently this problem often arrives when one converted a .dmg into Iso, but me I have downloaded an ISO already patche which I have burn with alcohol 120% on a DVD+R

(here the file torrent that I have downloaded Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel (JaS) - Iso-Repack).

I have launched this DVD of install on another computer and this worked, but I couldn't continue because this was not my computer.

Here my config:

core2duo E6300 1.86

HD Samsung in SATA where Windows is installed

HD Samsung in IDE with a partition in FAT32 where I would like to install MacOsX

DVD recorder Liteon in IDE

DVD recorder Philips in IDE (i borrow it to test, same problem)

MSI nVidia 7600 GS

2X512 DDR2 667

and, (it is the problem I think)

main board (or mother board i don't know) MSI INTEL p965 neo F

I read that there was a problem with this mother board because the controller was Jmicron http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...hl=msi+p965+neo

So I have test by putting my DVD player LiteOn IDE in external USB2, but always the problem…

I have test the same thing by disable all what was IDE in the BIOS, just to see if the install started but always the same problem

Someone would have a solution? :P

Thank you for your help

When the DVD starts, it will ask you to press any key to enter the installer. When it does that - press any key. Don't wait for the timer to run out.

Hi rammjet, i don't have this message. (I see this message on the oter computer where I tried, but I don't continue the installation, this was not my computer)

I directly have System config'/com.apple. Boot.plist' not found after the BIOS

Hi clownshoes, i don't really understand what you mean.

Can you explain me please

'burn' the .dsk to a floppy with raw write

reboot

boot the CD using Smart Boot Manger (the floppy disk)

error message gone, idk why

if you don't have a fdd then you can put Smart Boot Manager on a usb-stick somehow (so I am told) go to Smart Manager's sourceforge.net page to find out how.

Thank you I've understand now :thumbsup_anim:

But like you said : {censored} I don't have floppy disk

I've tried with my usb key but rawwritten doesn't recognize my usb key, i mean it doesn't appear in the "rool list", I only have A:/ for destination.

And A is the floppy disk, but I don't have one.

I'll try to borrow one

Is it really don't show the message anymore? Good news!

you can't rawwrite/dd the usb-stick thats why I don't know how to do it, http://sourceforge.net/projects/btmgr/ explains how to use a usb-stick somewhere. I don't know if this will work for you, it did for me and if you have a dv8000 it should work for you. I think the indepedant variable is the ata/sata controller, mine being a ATI ATA, if you have one of these it should work for you, perhaps with a nForce or VIA too.

In fact I don't have a dv8000, i've assembled the computer by myself and I have a MSI p965 neo F, I think the problem come from there.

Because I read that the chip was a Jmicron, and there is a problem with this f*** jmicron :D

One Ultra DMA 66/100/133 IDE controller integrated in JMicron® JMB361.

from : http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mai...ail.php?UID=744 --> this is my mother board

Here we can see the supported os of JMicron361, we can see that it support MacOS 10.4.3, and i'm trying to install 10.4.7

http://www.jmicron.com/Product_JMB363.htm

isn't it the source of my problem?

How can I exceed this problem?

I'm dowloading the 10.4.6, I'll try with it, because I think the 10.4.3 doesn't exist for PC no?

I have to leave you, I have to go to bed, it is 1:33 AM here :D

Good night

I've dowloaded mac os X 10.4.6 and burnt it, but same problem

I'm going to try the solution of clowshoes

EDIT

Radan,

You're are right!!

I've read that the solution is to install in VMWARE

With p965 :

* I dunno if is possible install from SATA DVD, but is imposible install from IDE DVD. Solution: Install from vmware to SATA/SATA2 Disk connected to P965(ICH8) because is the unique than can boot.

* Gigabit Ethernet not work. :(

* SATA, SATA2 and IDE (JMicron and P965/ICH8) works excelent after adding controllers id (0x2361197b 0x28208086) to AppleVIAATA.kext "VIA SATA Controller" (must to do it from vmware)

* Sound works (output only) after adding controller id to AzaliaController.kext

Source : http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.6

Look at this link and find your mobo, it explains the problem for a lot of them

So i'm going to create a partition on my SATA hard drive with partition magic

After I have to install mac os X with VMWARE, is it difficult to use this programm?

Hello guys

The boot in vmware is a failure, it stops on the same error, i cant boot from my virtual driver. I think it's a waste that my hardware is not compatible.

Thanks for your help but i give up for the moment wainting for a new solution.

Dont stop the fight

have you tried the instructions posted at this thread?

however, i did, but i still get the same error. FYI, the PATA IDE controller onboard is a JMicron JMB361 w/c was supposedly supported by the link that was posted. My motherboard is a FoxConn 945G7MD-8EKRS2H

I'm going to download a 10.4.8 DVD... are sure it will works?

Make sure you get the JaS 10.4.8 RESEED iso for the patch to work. However, in my personal experience, it was only able to detect the PATA HDD hooked to the JMB361 controller.

Everything is about to work now!

Right now iam installing Mac OSX in VMWARE. I have just customized my install adding sse2 patch + mobility radeon support.

And yes, i am crossing my fingers and toots quite hard now! Have spendt several days getting Jas DVD booting. Iam almost there! yet!

to everyone so far!

:wacko::(
