I performed a clean installation of Sequoia 15.1.1 on my HackMini8,1 (OC 1.0.2, not using OCLP).  Smooth install.

The Ethernet connectivity issues that I have reported with Sequoia are being experienced by other real Mac owners as reported here.  Note that disabling "Limit IP Address Tracking" as reported by one user here does NOT fix the problem (for me).

Details about the Ethernet issues that I am still seeing with Sequoia

Spoiler

I am now running both Sequoia 15.2 (Beta 24C5089c) and Sequoia 15.1.1 (Release) as I attempt to figure out why Ethernet connectivity is problematic for MS Windows App (Remote Desktop) and VNC Viewer.  Specifically, after a clean boot of Sequoia, the first attempted connection to a remote Windows or Linux Server fails (unable to resolve remote host).  Toggling the Ethernet connection (either by disabling and then enabling Ethernet in System Settings or unplugging and re-plugging the Ethernet cable) fixes the problem for that session (until the next Sequoia boot).  This does not happen in Sonoma with the same EFI and has come and gone with different versions of Sequoia Beta.  There are even times in Sequoia 15.1.1 where the problem does not occur (no need to toggle Ethernet), but I don't know why.

My System Details

  • Sequoia 15.1.1 (Release) and Sequoia 15.2 (Beta 24C5089c)
  • Open Core 1.0.2
  • IntelMausi.kext 1.0.7 (Acidanthera) (also for Acidanthera's IntelMausi.kext 1.0.8 and Slice's fork)
  • Ethernet: Intel i219LM

Things I have tried without success

  • Changing Ethernet link negotiation to Manual
  • Disabling macOS Firewall and toggling the state of macOS Firewall (for my testing, I do not have any other firewalls / security solutions enabled).
  • Disable "Limit IP Address Tracking" in System Settings (suggested by one user here)

My work-around is to toggle Ethernet (either by disabling/re-enabling the link with a script or by unplugging/plugging the Ethernet cable) once after booting Sequoia.

I do not have any proxy configurations.  This problem does not happen at all in Sonoma with the same OC 1.0.2 EFI.
