FakeSMC and Clover don't need update like Opencore. And you can compile on your system. Use Xcode 14.5 on Sonoma with Command Line Tools. cd ~ mkdir src cd src git clone --recurse-submodule https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader.git cd CloverBootloader ./buildme https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader/wiki/Building Choose 2) build all (Default Toolchain) Clover EFI and FakeSMC.kext will be compiled in Home > src > CloverBootloader > CloverPackage > sym > CloverV2> ThirdParty > other > FakeSMC.kext 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359530-pre-release-macos-sequoia/page/55/#findComment-2823859 Share on other sites

Try use this command on Terminal (need drag and drop app inside Applications folder ) /usr/bin/gktool scan /Applications/DropEFI\ Installer.app (before you run need drag and drop with mouse EFI-Drop.app on your Applications folder) Alternative you can run this command: xattr -d -r -s com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DropEFI\ Installer.app Good Luck Edited August 9, 2024 by Max.1974 4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359530-pre-release-macos-sequoia/page/55/#findComment-2823860 Share on other sites

By the way your config seems ok with the kexts you have... does OCLP do the patching for modern wireless??? I have deleted those files today and rebooted with no changes. If I undo the root patching and redo the patching it does say it will patch for modern wireless. The strange thing is at the login screen it "appears" as if the wifi is connected but after login i am not and cannot connect. If that is what you wish, here is how to do it - Finder/Applications. Find the App Icon then right click, then click on the option 'Move to Trash' then empty the Trash. Reboot, clean NvRAM and that will get rid of App and Icon. I hope that is what you meant. Good luck. Hello, I removed the SSD. chris1111
For those wondering what's going on in Sequoia and partition mounting, FSKit is the new framework introduced in macOS Sequoia that enables the developer to provide custom filesystem support from user space. The document is almost non-existent at the moment so here my command is a sample project to show how to use the framework. Slice
On 8/7/2024 at 10:18 PM, eSaF said: Hi all, I just want to share something that may help others. From Sequoia Beta1 I couldn't get the machine to Auto Sleep unless I physically made it do so even though I am using one EFI Folder to boot Sonoma and Sequoia. In Sonoma Auto Sleep was/is not a problem so I thought as Sequoia was in Beta stage maybe that was the cause Auto Sleep was flaky. Now we are in Beta5 I thought something is not right so I entered Terminal to find the reason and got 'Sleep Prevented by APSD'. I searched Google and found that this is an Apple Push Notification Service Domain. My next step was to find how to turn this off and here it is:- in Terminal you need to enter 'sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.apsd.plist' (without the quotes) and hit enter, it will ask for your P/W, then hit Enter again. Reboot, clean NvRAM, on reaching Desk Top test Auto Sleep and it should work. If you need to undo the change and enable the process, in Terminal enter this line:- 'sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.apsd.plist' (without the quotes) and you're done. Hope this helps someone with the same Sleep problem. Thank you @eSaF, It's really works! 8 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359530-pre-release-macos-sequoia/page/55/#findComment-2823903 Share on other sites
