I'm guessing this isn't right 🙃

Hi @Shaneee

I investigated the issue and it is related to SIP and tccutil database.

What is the value of csr-active-config in your config? and can you please set it to 00000000 and test the app and see if you still get the same error?

On the 2013 iMac that I've installed Ventura using OCLP the csr-active-config value is set to 03080000 and when I set it to 00000000 the app works normally and asks for required permissions to compete the tasks.

Once the tasks is complete and you give it the required permission in Privacy and Security you can disable SIP or use any value you want.

can you test that please?

I'll test it when I can sure. SIP is actually 00000000 but I used recovery to disable it so I could use an older version of VBox, (New version doesn't run on AMD).

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I've created any apps but recently I decided to create an application to easily convert Mac OS X and macOS Installers to ISO format.

Here's the link to the application page and the app itself if you are interested:

ISO Image Creator.app

I hope you find it useful.

P.S.

Before using the app make sure that you eject all the USB installers from the system, specially if you want to create the same ISO file as the mounted USB installer.

Would Be A NICE Feature If It DOWNLOADED What You Wanted To Turn To Iso

It's gonna be hard to maintain and only macOS High Sierra and above can be downloaded from the catalog so I don't see a point of including this feature.

Hey guys :)

I have the V2 completed and I need some volunteers to test it out, I've been doing all sort of tests and so far so good, please send me a PM if you are interested and I'll send you the link.

The new version is based on SwiftUI and it works on macOS Big Sur and newer, you can select the installer from any path (in v1 the Installer app should have been in the Applications folder) so it's new feature. Also the Installer disk is clickable so when you click it it will be copied to clipboard and you can paste it on the ISO file itself.

I still need to polish up some Applications

So excited to see your feedback before I release it.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to thanks @miliuco for his feedback on the app

I was wondering if you had the time to test the app and share your experience here with me.

Just a simple explanation about the app, when you create the ISO image using the app all you have to do is to mount the ISO and copy all of the contents of the mounted volume to any USB disk and that disk will be bootable. Just make sure to have invisible files visible in finder (command+shift+.) and you can easily boot any Mac with that USB disk.

@eSaF

Hi Bro, how are you doing?

Thanks for the feedback, you can try these steps:

1. Right click on the app, click open (you might need to that twice) until you get prompted to open anyway

2. check the System Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Security -> Allow Applications from and set it to Anywhere.

3. If you see the DMG file or the App under Allow applications from click Open Anyway

I hope this fixes the issue, let me know how it goes and thanks for trying to test the app

@eSaF

Have you tried the right click-> open and then again right click -> open? sometimes it needs to be twice for it to present the Open or Open Anyway other than that I'm not sure how to fix it. except for using xattr command which you can open terminal paste "xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine" without quotes and drag the dmg file to the terminal and press enter, hopefully you can mount it.

No worries, I have partial success by Method of Terminal mounting the image (see attached).

But on opening the app it self produces a panic. Will continue to persevere.

That's weird, I'll upload it here:

I will check the link later and see why it's giving all these errors, try this and see if it works

ISO Image Creator v2.0.zip

@eSaF thanks for time and thanks for sharing the results.

Is there any other volumes mounted like USB disk or a flash drive with the same name as the DMG, make sure there are no other devices mounted with the same name as the ISO image you want to create.

@eSaF

Every system is different ☹️

I downloaded the @Cyberdevs app and was able to open it without any issues (those apps that don't open are usually related to Gatekeeper rather than SIP).
I tried it with Ventura and the ISO creation process completed successfully.
I created the installation USB and the installation program boots fine from it.

@miliuco and @eSaF

The issue with DMG file was actually related to a problem with my developers ID certification which is resolved now, I update the certificate and removed the old one and now the link to the dmg in the first post works. I tested the file on my MacBook and it was working ok.

It seems to work here, I used the app from here

If there is one thing I hate about hackintosh is being stumped by a seemingly easy task.

Approximately six installs and uninstall of the app trying to get results ends in failure.

Each time I point the app to where the macOS application is, it takes me back to 'Select the Installer' or 'Exit'.

I am beginning to wonder if it is because I am using the app 'Mist' to D/Load macOS and somehow it is not agreeable with 'ISO Image Creator'

I just can't seem to put my finger on the problem. :wallbash:

I have made the Mac OS files accessible from different locations without success, (I don't want to write my trial off as a failure seeing that my buddy @miliuco reported success and I don't to be the lame duck.) :hysterical:

Oh boy, that's the old version (v1) of the app, it only can run when the macOS installer is in applications folder, the v2 DMG file direct links is: https://macmeup.com/?sdm_process_download=1&download_id=2614 and the link in this thread at:

 as @Anto65 mentioned.

@eSaF if you've encountered any issues pleas let me know, but if it didn't work it's ok, I'm currently working on another app which adopts the same function to create the ISO files from Mac OS X, OS X and macOS Installer apps and pkg files and much more functions to handle the installers, it's in the last beta phases and I will be publishing it for testing soon. You can wait and give that a test if you feel like it.

Thanks Pal, will do.

I am so disappointed a few others encountered no problem at all whilst I stumbled.

I'm not sure why this is happening to you, what I suggest is to remove all the downloaded versions of the app and only use this link: https://macmeup.com/?sdm_process_download=1&download_id=2614
