I attach the log file 2022-12-05_11-22_BOOTX64.EFI.log 83.95 kB · 0 downloads to disable kexts, just leave VirtualSMC and Lilu in Other folder? You may temporary disable kexts in Clover GUI. Type "Space" on selected entry and choose "Block kexts...".
Slice
I am not sure if HighSierra supports Coffee Lake.
Montelli
Sorry, I can't find kexts and block kext in the gui... look at the screens...but I deleted kexts from Other leaving only VirtualSMC and Lilu but when I restart the pc now clover won't start anymore, I tried to select boot from the bios but it won't start in what sense is coffee lake not supported? I've never had problems in these years with clover 4586 and with the efi I have for high sierra... but now I'd like to upgrade to a new cloover and a new OS...how can I do? Thank You Edited December 5, 2022 by Montelli
Slice
I want to show you what is Clover GUI. It is not CloverConfigurator Switch on the computer The see CloverGUI Press "Space" and enter to Details menu You can choose here different options to boot with or you may choose here "Black injected kexts". Checked means "blocked" Unchecked means "unblocked", "worked" So here FakeSMC remains injected, IntelMCHMonitor will be blocked while present in the folder. Slice
Next step is to disable VirtualSMC and install FakeSMC. I see no other reasons for the stop.
Montelli
Ok I just injected the fakesmc kexts and Lilu but ma but unfortunately still nothing.. 2022-12-06_09-52_BOOTX64.EFI.log fakesmc kext are the same version ones I use in high sierra and they work with clover 4586... Anyway now I show you my kext which I currently use in the old clover folder that i have been using for years Edited December 6, 2022 by Montelli
Slice
Next step I can propose is to disable some Kext or Kernel patches. The last one is RTC patch.

deeveedee
Sorry to barge in on an ongoing conversation... See here for SSDs with potential problems. Could the Samsung 960 be causing problems if Trim is enabled? Has the installation been attempted with a different SSD (one on the well-supported list)? Montelli
no all I'm doing I'm booting from usb...and after reset nvram and after boot open core, now, the Samsung SSD 960 EVO 250GB UEFI boot option is gone.. and I also noticed that every time I boot now from usb (with the backup efi) it automatically starts verbose mode even though I decide to disable from Clover GUI... what is happening? ps. before trying open core i tried disabling the other quirks it said Slice, but it didn't go, and I attached the log file I've never had a problem with uefi starting or disappearing before today 😅 Edited December 12, 2022 by Montelli

Montelli
I thank you! It booted...why was it so easy with opencore? is open core magic? Now in the boot screen I see several icons.. what i circled in the screenshot is the mac os high sierra main disk... the other macos icon (not circled) is the disk called Hackintosh 10.3.5 (Backup), a backup that I had done some time ago with carbon coopy clooner so as not to get confused how can rename that icon? antuneddu
lol 😁 Weird Clover should go too .. I don't see any image you didn't upload it ... try to install intel power gadget https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/tool/power-gadget.html , it should rename the disk automatically once restarted there is no network kext which you use in Clover ?
