theconsumer1 Posted November 18, 2021 Share Posted November 18, 2021 Hello, I need help. I have bounced around with several configurations now trying to get a fully functional build. None of them are working. First I had a moderator enable R7 370 graphics. It shows up as Radeon 7xxx but works full acceleration. Theres also a lot of {censored} inside this config file that has no explanation. SOUND WILL NOT WORK (this is due to the config file, i have tried alcID 1 through 10, none will work) USB PORTS DO NOT ALL WORK - only about 2 of them work. I have had several configurations that have worked with sound, but all are a trade-off for the other. Here is the build specs: GA Z97 UD5H-BK i7 4790k MSI r7 370 4GB 16GB DDR3 NVME SSD Open Core / Big Sur Attached are EFI, darwin dumps, IO configs, etc. Thank you theconsumer1_11_16_21.zip Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cyberdevs Posted November 18, 2021 Share Posted November 18, 2021 @theconsumer1 As I mentioned in your previous topic you need to either add SSDT-GPU-SPOOF or spoof the GPU ID from another GPU like R9 270X for your GPU. Try this config, I added the GPU ID for your GPU to the config that @MaLd0n has provided. I also noticed that the EFI folder that you are using is still the same old EFI folder I have posted in your other topic which is a very old version of my EFI folder which I later updated for you in this post: By the way you should stick to the EFI folder that MaLd0n has posted here which is more compatible with your new mainboard just replace the config.plist I attached here. config.plist.zip Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The reason I did not use your updated folder is because it contains a lot of things I don't need. Also, the config references completely different SMBIOS than I require (MacPro) which makes the CPU Intel XEON and specs are incorrect. I have used @MaLd0n folder and copied -GPU_SPOOF to my folder and used your config. I also deleted some kexts from the folder that he included, which are not required (atheros, etc). What is working now: Graphics: OK USB: OK Audio: OK Sleep: OK Wifi: OK (I use custom PCI wifi card that works OOB) Deep Sleep: Not Tested CPU PM: Not sure - Intel Power gadget will not report anything (see attached image) - says I need to repair permissions Update: I repaired permissions and made sure SMC plugins were installed to EFI folder. CPU frequency will not drop below approximately two. (see log) I think i am missing other SSDTs inside ACPI. Can you review please? Thank you so much we are close! Note: CPU Freq will not drop below 3.50ghz. I just wasted my time following Dortiana open core post install guide. I used CPUFriendFriend with and put SSDT-DATA.aml inside config and EFI folder.
