Saying that the iPod will go wireless because the Zune is would be like saying PCs adopted 802.11 wireless because of Apple's Airport back in 1998. Hardly. The iPod will go wireless because everything else will eventually.

 

Besides, being wireless and being wireless first are two different things. Apple was the first to go wireless in laptops, but they did it right and made it stupid-easy. Years later when it became common in PCs it was awful. Conflicts, driver issues, etc... Finally it got better, but still. There's a right way to do it and a wrong way. Zune, despite being first, seems to have done it the wrong way as well.

 

When Apple does it, it will be very easy to use, or they won't bother.

I'll be the second. "Easy to use" is what launched the original Macintosh and the first GUI for the people.

 

...which in turn launched the trend of Microsoft copying (badly) everything that Apple does. This trend continues to this day. -_-
