Writing an SSE2 emulator to work with the new 8.8.1 kernel is proving to be a major task. And quite possibly will never be done ever again even if successful. wow Posted November 25, 2006 Share Posted November 25, 2006 i believe that i once read, that emulating sse2 on sse1 cpu's would be way to slow, the jump was to big for them, not like sse3 to sse2 was easier.
