trav1085
I can't decide whether or I want to get a ATI Radeon x1600 Pro 512MB PCI-E for my Dell Dimension 1100 so I can play lots of great games and speed up Vista and OSx86. Or whether I want to get a 2GB iPod Nano and listen to my huge CD collection on it. I can't aff rd both of them, but I'm going to Staples this weekend and I don't know what I want to get. Games or Music? iPod Graphix Card Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34122-ipod-nano-or-graphix-card/ Share on other sites

kevin_4e
Assuming you don't have an iPod, then get that. I don't have any reasoning behind that comment, but it seems like you would use it, so why not? trav1085
About DirectX 10, I know many cards are version 9 compatable but will it still work with 10? So I'll get all the features of 9 but lacking the features of 10 until they are supported? Oh, I do have a huge CD collection, but I'd only put my favourite songs on it. I am considering the ipod more, as Staples changed their $199 price to $229 after american thanksgiving! What a ripoff. I thought they would have a sale or something on the weekend (graphix cards and thanksgiving go together real well ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34122-ipod-nano-or-graphix-card/#findComment-242208 Share on other sites
Timyang
huge cd collection on a 2 gig nano? no way in hell, thats like what, 500 songs? It's more like 250~300 here. 500 only if you follow apple's guideline using all 128kbps and 4 mins per song.
