Gcrumpets Posted November 23, 2006 Share Posted November 23, 2006 slight problem with running itunes...i was going to post this in the itunes 7 thread but it seemed specific to the memory issue and my problem seems to be with all versions, not just 7 anyway, once i click the itunes icon it bounces once...then freezes and in activity monitory it says its not responding. after anywhere from 30seconds to a minute of this it "awakens" and opens up, and it runs fine its not slow or anything it just has problems opening anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? oh, and im runnning 10.4.6 with intel sse3 patch (afew other patches for sound and etc...) if that is of any relevance thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did discover that when the iPod is Windows formatted (and used with the mac) it is slower then when Mac formatted (but that could just be me being dillusional) Can you give more details about your system and what other stuff is running? Gcrumpets Posted November 23, 2006 Author Share Posted November 23, 2006 ok ill try the SSE2 patch in the morning and see what happens with that, as for the first question heres my setup... dell e1505 intel dual core 1.8ghz (running on cpus=1) 512mb ram sigmatel 9200 audio - using altec usb speakers for sound intel gfx card i belive, 950 GMA not much else is running in the background or anything like that, and nothing else has trouble starting (except imovie occasionaly) thanks for the suggestions =) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
