slight problem with running itunes...i was going to post this in the itunes 7 thread but it seemed specific to the memory issue and my problem seems to be with all versions, not just 7

anyway, once i click the itunes icon it bounces once...then freezes and in activity monitory it says its not responding.

after anywhere from 30seconds to a minute of this it "awakens" and opens up, and it runs fine its not slow or anything it just has problems opening

anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

oh, and im runnning 10.4.6 with intel sse3 patch (afew other patches for sound and etc...) if that is of any relevance

thanks

I'm running iTunes 7.0.1 on my rig which uses 10.4.5

The system is:

ECS 915 with CM9880 sound (working out o/t box)

Radeon X1600pro 256

2GB DDR1 RAM

I have no problems with iTunes apart from the stuff that drives everybody else crazy. I did discover that when the iPod is Windows formatted (and used with the mac) it is slower then when Mac formatted (but that could just be me being dillusional)

Can you give more details about your system and what other stuff is running?

Regards,

EPDM
