Booshi
I know that when you insert into a computer, for example, a ps2 cd, you can see the files on the cd. But is there a program that can read the files in the folders individually so one could open a model of a character or something? I'm not talking about emulating an entire game, im just wondering, because i know that you can access music files on ps2 cd in .xa format. thanks
bxsci(macuser)
i would ask the same question but alas most of this stuff only comes out on windows (how come everything runs on the basterdized lisa os) for instance i wanted to port some WoW modles into maya but the program was only for windows
dark4181
not with gamecube discs, i know that for a fact.. becuz gamecube discs ARE NOT dvd format. they're nintendo's very own proprietary format. same with wii discs
bxsci(macuser)
well that doenst really matter as long as u can take out the disk reader from the game system and get compatable drivers for ur machine
KennyTheGeek
dark4181: BEEEP negative, you are the weakest lead, bye. No, they aint Nintendo's own format, they ARE dvd's, but the format maybe something wierd, but the hardware is DVD's, else, how would you run HB from DVD-R mini, and *cough* roms *cough* from same media? dark4181
i know the discs themselves are dvd. when i said "format" i was referring entirely to the programming format of the disc, which is different from dvd read programming... so yes, gamecube (and wii) discs are dvd format discs. but they're not written in dvd format language that's the distinction i meant to make
