Hello guys, I upgraded to a Radeon R9 380X, and now all I get is loggin into a black screen.
I have tried all the work arounds, watevergreen + lilu, latest clover build + enabling RadeonDeInit.
nothing works...
sadly i don't have an integrated GPU for that specific workaround.. so can anyone help me with this or have insights ?
Thanks

Ty with this patch:

Add it to your config.plist under the Kernel and Kext Patches

Name: AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy

Find: 626F6172 642D6964

Replace: 626F6172 642D6978

Which SMBIOS do you use?

Here you go, and thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

EFI.zip

You're welcome,

Try this folder. If you are using macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 installer it should work but if you try to installer older versions you need to have Radeon-DeInit set to true.

Which connectors on the display are used and how many displays do you have connected to the GPU?

How did you create the USB disk?

Do you use a patched DSDT to use for you system? If so please remove all the DSDT and the SSDT files and these again.

I am using the the Upper DVI port, and just 1 display. I created the USB stick with cloverlegacyinstaller tool.

I don't use a patched DSDT.

You shouldn't need RadeonInit nor WhateverGreen. 380X works OOTB since at least 10.13.4.

Then why I am getting black screen ? I am very confused.

Edit: I am on 10.13.3

still boots to black screen, but this time it reboots after like 3 seconds.

also noticed on the verbose something like: fatal unknown card. when booting.

Well that's the folder that I used for my Asus P7H55 rig.

I just installed macOS High Sierra (10.13.4) test this folder and it fails make sure your have you BIOS configured correctly.

Do you have access to an HDMI cable to test if you still get the black screen?

No, I don't have a HDMI montor sadly :/

also if it helps my card is the Asus strix R9 380X 4GB one.

Will try your folder and report back.

Edit: not sure what could be wrong with my BIOS.

Nope, no luck, got: fatal unknown card on verbose, then booted to black screen then reboot. :/

Well that's weird!

I wonder which card the fatal error refers to! The GPU to any other 3rd party card you installed?
