kc2013
All, I'm soooooooo close to having my system completely working I can taste it, but the one thing I'm still missing is working video, which is only slightly important.. Here's what I'm running: E6600 @ Default Speed (Not for long!!) P5W-DH Board - Everything finally working on it!! eVGA 7950gx2 Video Card 10.4.8 Like I said the only thing I'm missing in this picture is working video and hopefully someone can give me some pointers to help me out. I just installed Titan with Natit's nice installer and although it installed without a hitch I'm still not supported and can't change my res.. 1024 hurts on a 24" Panel.. hehe.. Here's my output from dmesg: Natit: Starting.Natit: Starting. Natit: Iterating IORegistry. Natit: Match found. So my question is there just some kext trick I can do to make this work or is it much deeper than that? Any advice is helpful and I really appreciate it! Thanks in advance, and I'm SOOOOOOO excited to be this close!! -KC Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33425-7950gx2-titan-natit-almost/ Share on other sites

devilhood
Apparantely it has something to do with the RAM differences of the board. I believe the 7950 GX2 is 512-bit (256x2) with 1 Gig RAM (512x2), therefore some kind of alteration to the Titan kext would be necassary to allow this card to function properly. Best to wait for an update to Titan as I'm sure Omni is well aware of this issue I could however, be complete wrong Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33425-7950gx2-titan-natit-almost/#findComment-241794 Share on other sites
bolezub
I've got same video card (NVidia 7950 GX2) and same problem. I've successfully installed uphuck "10.4.9 v1.4i r2" on my PC, and when it'S about to display login window, screen goes blank. Bluejacky
I've got same video card (NVidia 7950 GX2) and same problem.I've successfully installed uphuck "10.4.9 v1.4i r2" on my PC, and when it'S about to display login window, screen goes blank. If your card has 512MB, you need flash the rom to make it work. Check this link I don't want to take the risk and still hope to get kext for latest card, so I use a old cheap card. If your card has 1G, it seems still no solution at moment. Maybe I'm wrong, check the forum. OMX-Knuckles
7950GX2's are 512x512MB- each card has 512MB. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33425-7950gx2-titan-natit-almost/#findComment-431587 Share on other sites
bolezub
Yes. It is 2x 512 MB videocard. I just can't find the suitable file for flashing. There are 7950 GT, but no GX2. :censored2: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33425-7950gx2-titan-natit-almost/#findComment-431607 Share on other sites
panurge
I've flashed it with gotohs patched ROM, but no work. It even confused the Mobo bios. After I flashed both cards in the GX2, Mobo bios could not read all my system RAM.
