  1. I gave it a shot, and I'll get a POP upon bootup, but after that I get nothing. I see 3 Line Outs in the Sys Pref / Sound, but no joy when I select any of them.. Something just isn't right... Hmmm.. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep messing around! -KC
  2. All, First off, YES, I know the P5W is an old board, but it's been working GREAT over the years and right now just isn't the time to be buying new.. Anyway, I did a UB USB install with NO DSDT and everything is working great without any messing around, well all except audio! The built in audio is ALC882 and in my searching I found some modified AppleHDA kexts which installed, but didn't seem to do much except pop the audio upon bootup. So I'm just curious if anyone out there is running the same board with ML and what you did to make audio work.. Thanks much! -KC
  3. 10.6.7 Update released

As far as keeping sleepenabler working here's the instructions First sleepenabler goes *only* in /Extras/Extensions Then edit /Extras/com.apple.Boot.plist <string>arch=i386 pmVersion=21</string> When I tried putting pmVersion on another line I'd also get a KP, but this way is working perfectly for me.. Hope it helps! -KC
  4. 10.6.7 Update released

Using an ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe, removed Sleepenabler, and updated via SU no problems! Didn't have to reinstall anything! Speaking of sleepenabler I'm assuming we'll need a new one? -KC
  5. Hmmmmmmmmm.... Didn't think of that.... Guess it's worth a shot.. Thanks! -KC
  6. Hey all, I've got a slight issue with my setup and I'm curious if anyone has any insight.. Here's my setup: Hack running 10.5.2 on a shared 320gig disk with Windows (2 MBR Partitions). Everything runs fine, no problems. My issue is that I'd like to migrate my off my old small disk to my new one (500 GIGS!) that has a much larger OS X Partition. As of right now I can't seem to do it and I'd rather not do a reinstall since everything is working GREAT! I've tried using Acronis True Image which works wonders with Windows disks/partitions, but since HFS+ is not a native filesystem it has to do a bit copy which means I'm not able to resize the partition on the new disk. No matter what I do it'll always keep the original partition size on the OS X side, works great for NTFS though! I've also tried using SuperDuper, but for whatever reason it cannot make my new disk bootable, it always complains about the System folder and not being able to copy certain things. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't SuperDuper suppose to do more of a bit-copy so that wouldn't matter? I'm also having the same issues with CCC which always falls back to a file copy for some reason. Another thing I've tried was to do a full install on my new disk in hopes that works some magic, then do a clone with SuperDuper/CCC, but that fails as well.. So, does anyone have any ideas what can be done in a situation like this? I didn't think it would be that hard to do this, but I guess I was wrong! Thanks everyone!! -KC
  7. Demonoid Back Online!

  8. NVIDIA cards in LEO yet?

Try Punk92's installer, has I think just about eveything, works great with my 8800GTX 768! -KC
  9. 8800GTX What's your GFX Xbench scores?

I agree, but was just curious what others are seeing..
  10. I'm running an E6600 OC'd to 3.6, 8800GTX 768, 2Gigs of ram, 10.5.2 with Apple GFX update and Punk 92's installer. Everything is working GREAT, but I'm curious how my 8800 is matching up with other cards in and around the same class.. Here's my scores: Quartz Graphics Test 348.58 Line 262.43 17.47 Klines/sec [50% alpha] Rectangle 374.23 111.73 Krects/sec [50% alpha] Circle 304.62 24.83 Kcircles/sec [50% alpha] Bezier 292.15 7.37 Kbeziers/sec [50% alpha] Text 865.42 54.14 Kchars/sec OpenGL Graphics Test 245.12 Spinning Squares 245.12 310.95 frames/sec User Interface Test 594.28 Elements 594.28 2.73 Krefresh/sec Thanks everyone! -KC
  11. Worked fine for me and I have an 8800GTX 768. I currently have NVinject 1.5 (Straight from Kaly install) so at this point I'm not real sure what to do cause it's only seeing 256mb so I'm not sure if the new drivers are really being used.. Any thoughts? Sorry that this is duped, I just responded to another post with my question, but I figured it was worth while since this was a graphic specific post.. Thanks! -KC
  12. Just installed Kalyway 10.5.2 combo + vanilla kernel + apple gfx update and am zero problems! Everything is working well! One question I have is that I'm using an 8800GTX 768Meg, with NVinject 1.5 and it still says I have 256Megs and my Xbench scores are the same so from what I can tell I'm not really using the new drivers. Should I completely remove NVinject and let it work it out, or remove it and install the new NVinject? Not real sure.. Thanks everyone, hope you're having as good of luck with this as I am!! Now, time to really make 'the switch'! -KC
  13. 975x motherboard?

I second the p5w! I had some booting issues with 10.4.7 but 10.4.8 with the fixed kext's work great! Now if only my video worked right! (( -KC
  14. All, I'm soooooooo close to having my system completely working I can taste it, but the one thing I'm still missing is working video, which is only slightly important.. Here's what I'm running: E6600 @ Default Speed (Not for long!!) P5W-DH Board - Everything finally working on it!! eVGA 7950gx2 Video Card 10.4.8 Like I said the only thing I'm missing in this picture is working video and hopefully someone can give me some pointers to help me out. I just installed Titan with Natit's nice installer and although it installed without a hitch I'm still not supported and can't change my res.. 1024 hurts on a 24" Panel.. hehe.. Here's my output from dmesg: Natit: Starting.Natit: Starting. Natit: Iterating IORegistry. Natit: Match found. So my question is there just some kext trick I can do to make this work or is it much deeper than that? Any advice is helpful and I really appreciate it! Thanks in advance, and I'm SOOOOOOO excited to be this close!! -KC
