Rosetta needs SSE3

Is that sure? Or is it possible that SSE3 can be emulated on SSE2 to use Rosetta?

I'm asking because I have an AMD (of course capable of SSE3) and if I choose a SSE3 Kernel I get a kernel panic on bootup.

But then I heard that SSE3 could be active even if it is not shown in the About this Mac info and that the new iTunes version needs SSE3. Well iTunes 7.0.2 runs well.

Then I tried running some applications with "use Rosetta" enabled and they work, but then I tried to run xbench with Rosetta and I got only one fifth of the points as if run in normal mode. Is that a sign that SSE3 is only emulated on my machine or does Rosetta always cost that much performance?

Greetings

I have the same problem with Rosetta. I have SSE3 and GMA950.

Jas 1.4.8 with Semthex kernel. I am unable to run OpenGL applications through Rosetta. Although on original Mac people can use applications like Amira.

I ticked Run with Rosetta on Get Info>Installer

Reinstalled the same things by drag and dropping. Same problem. Rosetta is not running
