The problem persists, SSE2 does nothing and Vectorize is enabled by default. Tried plugging in other speakers, sound is exactly as bad. I can't find the root of the problem, let alone a fix! I am using El Capitan on it and AppleHDA-272.18.1-CX20757.zip kext worked perfectly for me.
