Hello

I successfully installed Yosemite on my amd laptop Lenovo G505s

Sound is very buggy. I am using VoodooHdA 2.8.6 kext. Sound output from headset and internal speakers is awfully bad, choppy, laggy etc

My sound card is CX20757 (conexant smart audio) / 14f15115

Headset: Logitech h340 USB

Thanks for replying but i have tried pretty much all on that list. The problem persists, SSE2 does nothing and Vectorize is enabled by default.

Delete the current kext, install the new, and rebuild the permissions and cache.

Still no change. Tried plugging in other speakers, sound is exactly as bad. I can't find the root of the problem, let alone a fix!  :rofl:

You can try use AppleALC injection, or editing the native AppleHDA.

DSDT injections don't work on my chipset ;|

Have you tried Apple HDA for CX20757 ?

Apple HDA is available for CX20757. Refer to this thread for more information. Download the attachment named AppleHDA-272.18.1-CX20757.zip

I have Lenovo G510 and it also have the same Sound Card i.e. CX20757.

I am using El Capitan on it and  AppleHDA-272.18.1-CX20757.zip kext worked perfectly for me.

I had to inject Layout ID 3, using Clover.

<dict>
<key>Inject</key>
<integer>3</integer>
</dict>

Sound Quality is great and way better then Voodoo
