billmavra
Hi guys, I have been trying for a long time now to install hackintosh on my G20 but i didn't manage to pass the still waiting for root device. There is probably something i haven't understood so i decided to forget everything i have tried so far (kexts, different bootloader, different installations) and start from scratch following your guidance if possible.Which guide do you suggest i followed and any what should i do to my config.plist. Thank you in advanced . I attached my BIOS settings and my hardware is -i7 4790 -8GB RAM 1600 Mhz -NVIDIA GTX 760 2GB -Motherboard is custom for this machine only with >Intel H97 chipset >Intel 9-series USB >Intel I218-V ethernet >RealTek RTL8821AE wifi/bluetooth Asus G20 BIOS.rar 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311595-asus-rog-g20-attempt/ Share on other sites
Dwarfy
I have tried to help another person with G20 before, but he couldn't get it installed because SSD was never listed in the Disk Utility. I'll try to help you. Use this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305255-making-a-10101011-usb-installer-w-clover-uefi-and-legacy-the-correct-way/ Use the config from Chris1111: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311538-no-sata-disk-listed-on-disk-utility-during-installation-process/?do=findComment&comment=2226732 you need ethernet kext: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/396-intelmausiethernet/ And FakeSMC kext: http://hwsensors.com/content/01-releases/40-release-1406/HWSensors.6.19.1406.Binaries.dmg Remember to add in the boot arg nv_disable=1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311595-asus-rog-g20-attempt/#findComment-2228105 Share on other sites

Dwarfy
Since you got nvidia card, don't forget to remove nvda_drv=1 and replace it with nv_disable=1. Dwarfy
I doubt that is the problem. Try AptioFix2. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311595-asus-rog-g20-attempt/#findComment-2229108 Share on other sites
billmavra
i tried it with no luck... i thought of something else.... my graphics card isn't connected straight to my mobo but it uses pci to pci board which needs a driver i think... (it is not a cable it is a board).. could that create a problem? Dwarfy
i tried it with no luck... i thought of something else.... my graphics card isn't connected straight to my mobo but it uses pci to pci board which needs a driver i think... (it is not a cable it is a board).. could that create a problem? I can't seem to remember how I got into the installer on the other G20. Even if so, I suggest you sell the system and build one from scratch with compatible hw.
