Enigm4
Hi! I have R7 260X working properly with full QE/CI, but the performance isn't that great. It's enough to get the job done, but it could be better. To get it working I have inserted GPU's device id into two kexts. But what if I use fakeID of HD 7790, that is supported natively and is almost the same GPU. Would I get any performance boost or is the driver loaded in the same way for each GPU that in the same kext?
aria_perdana
What R7 260X brand are you using? What framebuffer you use? I have R7 260X too (a MSI one) and always get black screen after boot (connected via HDMI).
0000-1248
Also, if performance doesn't seem great, if you can then you should do a gpu benchmark in Windows and then do one in Mac OS X and compare the two. Then you will see whether it works or not. Experiment with different framebuffers and see which works best for you. What R7 260X brand are you using? What framebuffer you use? I have R7 260X too (a MSI one) and always get black screen after boot (connected via HDMI). You need to modify a framebuffer to support your HDMI port. Here is a guide. Hope I could help, - Matt
