    GeForce 9800 gx2 Sierra/High Sierra

Hi, not so much ago i got a geforce 9800 gx2 and i was wondering how do i get it to work on sierra/high sierra? i have tryied a lot of things but nothing worked, i always got a black screen, the only way to get it to boot is by using -nv_disable=1 which will boot the system of course without video acceleration but with one of the 2 gpus detected and the other not. since i am going to use this card for my 2008 dream hackintosh build, with sierra, how do i make it to work? Thanks for your answers

    DSDT help

Hey guys, I recently got Mavericks 10.9.5 up and running again, but I'm having issues with my system. I have no USB 2 (USB3 works, oddly), no audio, and wacky GPU issues (only 1 or 2 of my monitors will work out of 3). I have no idea what to do now, I'm out of my depth. Can someone please take a look at my extracted DSDT and my IOReg please, and help me get it edited? Here are my specs: Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme (X79, LGA2011 socket) GPUs: 2x EVGA GTX 780s RAM: 64GB G.Skill Ripjaws @1333MHz CPU: Intel Core i7 4960x (Ivy Bridge E) Any details needed? PM me. I am also using a MacPro6,1 SMBIOS, just for the record. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. The forum won't allow me to upload my IOReg and DSDT so they are posted at the links below: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bi3f2lj8tnwsed5/Logan%E2%80%99s%20Mac%20Pro.ioreg?dl=0 (IOReg) https://www.dropbox.com/s/i5j0y755jbjr4th/System%20DSDT.aml?dl=0 (extracted DSDT that needs editing)
  3. Hello. I've recently installed Mac OS X 10.8 ML on my custom built computer. I just plugged the USB, installed OS X on a partitioned Hard Drive (MBR), booted using the USB, worked smoothly. Just installed Audio, Network (Was already working), OpenCL Patch, Legacy USB, FakeSMC, DSDT-Free. Some problem I noticed is that it seems that my GPU (GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1024mb) isn't working at its fullest. First, some of the OSX animation seems choppy sometimes and the computer feels slow. Secondly, I think my GPU supports OpenGL 4.1, but here in Mac OS X, it shows that its version is 2.1. Thirdly, the Adobe applications tell me that my GPU doesn't have CUDA when I try to do enable GPU acceleration in After Effects and Premiere using guide: . I already tried updating to 10.8.3 (which made the computer slower somehow), updating the Adobe apps, installing the Nvidia drivers, the Nvidia CUDA Drivers, tried the OpenCL patch, etc. Still the same. Webcam HP

Hi, I recently installed Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion on my notebook HP ENVY dv6-7320el. I was wondering if there was an "universal" driver pack for the webcam. I have a built-in webcam (HP Truevision HD) and I can't find the drivers anywhere. Also, I don't know where to search the drivers for my GPU (nVidia GeForce GT 635M); without them the UI is a bit laggy. I tried to use the search function but I didn't find something remarkable. Any help will be appreciated, thank you so much
  5. Hi, I created a hackintosh with my PC (z87-hd3, 4670k) I used to have intel hd 4600 and it worked fine well, it did take some time to get the 4600 to work. Now I have a MSI GTX 760 in my computer and I have fired up mavericks (I still have 10.9) and everything is working fine and I have full resolution QE/CI and all. I use HWMonitor to make sure that the power management is working okay for the cpu and gpu. The CPU is in the 30-40 degrees range whilst I am browsing and the GPU die is at 48 degrees. I think the CPU is scaling down properly. The GPU is currently constantly at 48 degrees and at 1.00 GHZ CORE and 1.47GHZ memory. Is everything working right? On windows I have msi afterburner and can change lots of things but I let it natively choose the fan speed. I haven't been monitoring the temperature recently on windows but it used to be in the 30s at idle then go up to 40-50-60 highest 67 when under load. Is everything working okay? Also is there any other checks I need to do, to my hackintosh to make sure nothing is slowly killing any of my hardware as I might start to use it much more than I used to for video editing etc. My GPU shows as 3.39 GHZ and I would like to change that to 3.4Ghz. My ethernet, audio and USB are working. Thanks!
  6. Hi to everyone, I'm trying to install iATKOS ML2 on an HP G62 with the switchable graphics card. Everything seems fine except this: if I boot with GraphicsEnabler=No, the PC boots up, in system info it shows an unknown ati gpu with no kext loaded, no QE CI and everything is laggy. But at least all the rest works fine. if I try to boot with GraphicsEnabler=Yes, it shows the attached errors. I'd like to totally kill the Radeon card, I'd be happy to use just the integrated Intel HD gpu, but I tried million ways (changing DSDT, kext's and all the possible boot flags..) without success. What could I do? Thanks for your help UPDATE: I tried changing the booting frame buffer using the flag AtiConfig followed by the name (ex. Langur).. Still nothing.. I always get the same error. My CPU is an Intel i3 M350 and the Radeon is a 6370M.
  7. Hello IM Community.. I read an article that talks about gpu virtualization by nvidia which will soon be implemented by vmware into their products. If its implemented in ESX will this help to bring better graphics to osx virtualized ???
  8. I'm not expecting too much help, but if anyone has any suggestions, that would be great.I recently got my Hackintosh running on macOS 10.14, and went to install the graphics drivers for my Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti. My setup is a little different, so here it is:Screen 1 Screen 2 Screen 3Screen 1 and 2 are both connected to my 750 Ti, whereas screen 3 is connected to my iGPU, with is an intel HD 4600. The intel GPU works like a charm, just as it did under High Sierra. Now, I got the Nvidia Web drivers to "work" by removing any traces via the "Web Driver Toolkit" that others have recommended. I then patched the installer, installed it, rebooted, patched the installed drivers, and rebooted again, where the drivers are at their current state. This is where things get interesting though. All 3 monitors are recognized. My GPU is recognized in my system profiler. However, it is NOT able to be used to run a compute in Geekbench, meaning that GPU acceleration is obviously disabled. The other thing that doesn't work, is, well, the 2 monitors connected to the GPU. They are set to the correct resolution and refresh rates, and are recognized in System Preferences, and I can even drag things between the different desktops. But I can only see my cursor. The screens are totally black, and I can't see anything on them except my cursor moving across them. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks in advance!Specs:Asrock B85M-Pro4 MotherboardIntel Core i5-4690 CPUIntel HD 4600 GPU 1Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti GPU 2iMac 15,1 SMBIOSHere is a picture of what happenshttps://imgur.com/gallery/lWTLWlwMy clover and EFI folders are attached EFI.zip
  9. Hi there, I'm selling a EVGA GTX 650 Ti SSC on eBay right now. You can certainly buy there or PM me here! If you PM me it's easier to negotiate price and shipping. Right now it's free USPS shipping in the US, but for other US carriers or international, you'll have to pay. It's in my rig now, but I've only had it a few weeks! I don't need all the power, so I'm looking to go down to a Radeon 7750. http://www.ebay.com/itm/111038951290?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 Thanks, Ian

    AMD Radeon 7850, glitches

Hello everyone, I'm having problems with my MSI 7850 2GB GPU. My resolution is okay and QE is working Random objects on the screen are black. Sometimes icons, sometimes pictures and almost always the top bar. It's kinda annoying and I wonder if anyone knows how to fix this? Specs: CPU: AMD A8 Black Edition (Didnt post it in the AMD section because it's unrelated to my CPU) GPU: MSI 7850 2GB 8GB RAM Motherboard: AsRock A75M-HVS Running Yosemite 10.10.1
  13. My specs are: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Intel Core i5 3570 @ 3400 MHz Intel® HD 2500 Graphics ASUS DRW-24B5ST Western Digital WD10EARS-003BB1 (1000GB) 8192 MB Corsair (2 x 4096 DDR3-SDRAM ) I tried to make HD 2500 work with 10.8.3 but I couldn't. So I need to buy the cheapest separate card as my needs are very basic, I'm not a gamer. Most importantly, I need it to work out of the box without or with minimal adjustments as this is my first time hackintoshing and I don't know most of what I'm doing. I need both DVI and HDMI to work. So, any recommendations for me?

    R7 260X kext help

Hi! I have R7 260X working properly with full QE/CI, but the performance isn't that great. It's enough to get the job done, but it could be better. To get it working I have inserted GPU's device id into two kexts. But what if I use fakeID of HD 7790, that is supported natively and is almost the same GPU. Would I get any performance boost or is the driver loaded in the same way for each GPU that in the same kext?
  16. Since I updated to Mountain Lion I've been noticing quite a few issues with my GTS 450 graphics card. The computer doesn't sleep, but after waking from display sleep, I either have bizarre tearing issues or a blank grey screen with a mouse pointer and nothing else (in which case I have to reset the computer). The tearing seems to be more common; it primarily seems to affect Safari or the desktop picture. Restarting Safari or logging out fixes it. The old random freeze bug also seems to be back, and I'm experiencing the blue screen on resolution switch that some other people have mentioned. I switched to the DP3 rollback graphics kexts, but that doesn't seem to have changed anything (although everything seems generally faster with them; faster than Lion, definitely). I'm using Chameleon's Graphics Enabler.
  17. Hi all, I just realized that the Alienware 15 uses the same GPU as the new Retina 5K iMac, and both use a Haswell CPU... Would this be a possible Hackintosh Notebook?
  18. Hey guys, I've been running OS X on my system for a while now, I was previously running Mavericks, and then I updated it to Yosemite, and I can not get all of my monitors to work on 10.9 or 10.10, I can get at least one every time, if I'm lucky two will work, and the third one just flat out never works. I can't understand why and I've been dealing with this for months and I'm finally posting about it, any ideas? Also, it did this no matter whether I using the web or default driver. I am running two GTX 780s *NOT in SLI*, and I do know what the deal is, any help would be appreciated, On a side note, I use the clover bootloader and I when I use the kext-dev-mode=1 flag it is supposed to register all kexts and boot with them, boot if I try to boot without injected kexts, I have no network connection, otherwise, if I boot with injected kexts it works fine, but I always have the monitor issue and I do not know what the deal with that is. For reference, I'm using an Asus Rampage IV Extreme board, other than these two issues, the OS runs great. Any ideas?

    AMD FX + HD7xxx 10.8.3 Hackintosh Build?

Hi, I'm currently running a Windows 7 x64 PC with: 8GB DDR3 Ram AMD FX 4170 GPU AMD Radeon HD 7870 CPU 1TB HDD (Windows 7) 150GB HDD (Blank) Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 Motherboard I am aware that getting OSX on an AMD machine is not an easy task, but can it be done with my setup? I am currently running OSX 10.8.3 in VMWare which is OK but lags a fair bit and lacks any kind of 3d acceleration and would like to be able to dual boot it natively alongside windows on the 150GB HDD. Thanks
Flw

  22. R7 260x GPU in Sierra 10.12.6 / in any version of High Sierra ? I have this i7 7700K and asus rog z270e in my rig; So I can install Sierra/High Sierra on it using intel hd630 graphics, but I want to make use of the only gpu i have right now which is Sapphire R7 260x. And I dont know how to get it started in 10.12.6 / newer macOS? Already tried: Adding 0x66581002 in AMD8000 and 4000 kexts In Clover, you have to set: - FakeID / ATI = full ID (here: 0x66581002) - Inject / ATI = true - FixDisplay = true Configure your iGPU as primary graphics device in bios All these does not make it work, So Please let mw know if anybody can help!?
  23. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, I'm really searching for some help with my "project" and hope some of you can help me out with this one! It's all coming down to a not starting "Finder" The full story, I bought a Mac Pro 1.1 (2006) a few day's ago. All stock, dual Intel Xeon 3Ghz, 5GB Ram and the stock video card (256MB). (Lion freshley installed) I wanted to upgrade to OSX El Capitain, and after a lot of research and a lot... yes a lot of trouble in making it all work I finally got it. I've thrown in a Geforce GTX 760 2GB Jetstream... couldn't wait to get cables for powering it, so I frankensteind it all with a second PSU. Installed Lion on a Samsung 850 EVO, and then followd a tutorial on how to install el capitain using Piker's boot. After 12 hours non stop messin around it worked, only after some time the mac froze and rebooted. I noticed that maby Google Chrome caused this to happen, and when using Safari it would work without any problem. I even can play 4K flawless. But still after some time it would crash, I monitored the CPU and Ram Usage, but there wasn't anything crazy happening at those things. .. didn't really got the time to instal other apps. Then I found out Finder wasn't responding. It kept on crashing. I tried a lot of things... deleting the plist files, resetting PRAM, VRAM, Savebooting, deleting cache, Disk repair (Disk Aid)... nothing worked. Is this maby a problem with the bootloader (Pike)? I hope someone can help me out! Thanks in advance, Greetings from Holland
  24. When I installed 10.13.4 I tried to boot macOS with iGPU enabled only in BIOS (without injecting and kexts, HD 4600) and my daily use dGPU (GTX 750 Ti, injected in config and web drivers enabled) and everything works fine, but it boots slower. There is a chance to make fully working dGPU and iGPU at one time? With kexts, injects, et cetera? Something like dGPU as eGPU and iGPU as main GPU? I don't want to break my build, so I am asking you before trying it. My computer: MOBO: Gigabyte P85-D3 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti Windforce (2GB VRAM) CPU: i5-4670 RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Audio: ALC887 Ethernet: Realtek RTL 8111 Drives: SSD Goodram 240GB and HDD 1TB.
  25. Firstly, we need to know our GPU clock. For example, my ASUS EAH6850 is running at 790MHz. Secondly, convert 79000 to hex, which is 0x13498. While in the vbios, it's actually 98 34 01. If I want to get a 850MHz clock, I gonna convert 85000 to hex, which is 0x14C08 and 08 4c 01 in vbios. Last, use Clover's PatchVBiosBytes to find 98 34 01 and replace it with 08 4c 01. And all done! Unfortunately, I'm not able to boot my current Windows 8 with Clover now. But I'm guessing simply reinstall graphic driver or Windows could bypass the problem. Because I'm able to boot Windows Install DVD through Clover. These are the results to prove it works :
