greggh
Just wondering if anyone sees any major red flags in this hardware list: CPU: Intel Core i7 920 RAM: 12GB DDR3 Motherboard: Asus P6T (LGA1366) Graphics: Dual AMD Radeon R7 200 Series (XFX) Network: Realtek Gigabit (8168) Audio: Realtek ALC888 On the graphics card I do have an ATI Radeon 6770 sitting off to the side that I could use if the 2 R7s I have are a problem. I figured that I could just use ##### and then ##### to get this done. Thoughts? Suggestions?
kvonlinee
It would work, not sure on the Radeon R7 under 10.10 If you can, try to run with clover bootloader.
greggh
Got it working. Sound, Graphics, Networking, everything is great. Had to switch out the AMD R7's for the 6770's, but other than that all is well. Here are all the files I needed to make it happen, no tricky DSDT work or anything. I just used someones special tool to put the Yosemite installer onto a USB for me, then after the install I used that same persons other tool to install my boot loader and some options and kexts. After that I used the files attached here and everything was working. I got these files from these threads/links: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/ http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/4267-radeon-hd6770-with-full-qeci-for-yosemite-final-release/ http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/4232-realtek-rtl81118168-kext/ I've got them all zipped up here for anyone who doesn't want to find them there. asus-p6t-ati-6770-alc888.zip
kvonlinee
Try to run this one on clover, it is better and it has native power management.
greggh
Try to run this one on clover, it is better and it has native power management. Since I have it working on the other boot loader right now, is it worth the risk of switching to Clover and having things not work?
kvonlinee
I have ine similar, it is working, if you don't want to learn about it, leave as it.
jamiethemorris
Since I have it working on the other boot loader right now, is it worth the risk of switching to Clover and having things not work? you can run both clover and chameleon simultaneously to test it out. Just boot clover from USB. Otherwise... If it don't broke, don't fix it.
durpflip
you can't really mess up a bootloader,or in this case a boot manager, using clover is just a matter of installing it over the other one,aka chainloading (wikipedia article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chain_loading)
