bertig
Hi, i installed Mavericks 10.9.3 / 4 /5 with Clover in my Machine and everything works fine exept hibernate. I tried this guide from ... http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299721-sleep-hibernation-how-it-works-and-how-to-use/ With pmset hibernatemode -29 or -5 the shutdown and restart works as described above but after the loading screen a frozen Desktop appears (only mousepointer can be moved sometimes). Other hibernatemode values turn into hang or instant boot. Can anyone help or give a tipp where to search for issues ? The system log has no entrys and the Clover Log won't work thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303534-mavericks-hibernate-with-clover/ Share on other sites
Allan
What drivers you have in drivers64UEFI? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303534-mavericks-hibernate-with-clover/#findComment-2097494 Share on other sites
bertig
What drivers you have in drivers64UEFI? Hi, i don't have any UEFI drivers ckeckt during installation. I'm booting in legacy mode with boot0af. I have only UsbMouseDxe-32 and NvmExpressDxe-64. Inside drivers64UEFI are: CsmVideoDxe-64,DataHubDxe-64, EmuVariable-Uefi-64 FSInject-64, OsxAptioFix2Drv-64, OSXFatBinaryDrv-64 und VBoxHfs-64 At the moment i tried r3065 - same behaviour. merry x-mas PS. Maybe the bootlog from Clover Configurator helps, i took a chance with UEFI driver ckecked.. Allan
In LegacyMode should be more easy. Try use this mode: sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 21 After this, go in Sleep option in Apple menu. bertig
21 ist not realy successfull, but a bit improvement. After wake, i can move the mousepointer and drag the open windows. After moving or clicking at the desktp pane, the Mac-Wheel is shown. I can also type inside an open terminal window but without system response after <return-key>. Allan
Ok. Do you tried the slide=*** boot arguments combinations? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303534-mavericks-hibernate-with-clover/#findComment-2098822 Share on other sites
bertig
so, slide=0 ist the same as without slide and slide=100 leads to a frozen desktop the system.log does not contain any entries after the wakeup for both values. Allan
Try other values. 1,2,3,50,86 etc... The value 100 works for me the twentieth time. bertig
so this is going to be the Sisyphus work for year 2015. Is there a way to determin the exact value by calculating someting ... ? Here is the actual history slide = 0 - no slide = 100 - no slide = 1 - no slide = 2 - no slide = 4 - no slide = 30 - no slide = 32 - no slide = 80 - no slide = 200 - no slide = 255 - no tbc. Allan
Try this: Slide=100, hibernatemode=57, OsxAptioFix2Drv.efi, without EmuVariableUefi. bertig
Try this: Slide=100, hibernatemode=57, OsxAptioFix2Drv.efi, without EmuVariableUefi. this leads into instant boot after wake. Only difference is theat a grey bootscreen with an apple logo appears including the progressbar on the bottom. I fear there is is no solution for my config I also tried hibernate 5,7,21 but they are similar to the oterhes. But what do you think of geting the clover bootlog to work as in your post. The log Option in the config.plist is set, and i always look into the misc folder but there is noting.? Allan
The option Boot > Log is deprecated. Now we use "Debug" (since rev3064) that will reflect its appointment. Boot.log will be created even with "False", it just be in memory and accessible in system if booted. When "true" the "debug.log" will be Open-Write-Close on every line guarantying you will found the file even after hard-reset. bertig
perfect ! At least i managed the get the debug option to work. It's important is to know, that the Clover boot partition has to be FAT otherwise the log file will not be created. But the only difference within the debug.log between normal an hibernate boot is this part.. does this help ? Allan
This means that your sleepimage has created. Now you need enable writing in this image, try use another hibernate mode value. bertig
Hi Allan, i set up a clean OSX 10.9.5 intall to exclude other problems but the behavior is the same. The different hibernatemodes i tested lead all to the same frozen dektop and there are only a few valid bitmaps for hibernatemode anyway. As Bit 0 to 2 (0- hibernate, 1-Power off, 2-no encryption) has to be set to #101b as mandantory the only sensefull values for hibernatmode are 21,23,29,53,117,181,245. Values higer than 53 run into a "mediaplayer not present" error after the restore of the hibernateimage. What did you mean by enable writing to this image ? During the boot process Clover seems to hav only read access to the OSX filesystem.
