[Success] - Acer Aspire 6930G

Potete farlo con Pacifist oppure tramite riga di comando: open /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ 10.9\ Developer\ Preview.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg cp /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/Packages/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg ~/ pkgutil --expand ~/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg ~/BaseSystemBinariesEspanded cd ~/BaseSystemBinariesEspanded/ tar -xvjf Payload -C . mach_kernel rm -rf Payload Bom Scripts PackageInfo open . Tutto ok.
2. I was successful in emulating mavericks on VMware but would like to make use of the systems full hardware capabilities. Goal would be to run Xcode, Swift and related apps w/o issues with decent performance on Mavericks or Yosemite. I have the i3 4030u which should not be an issue, but do worry about a dell motherboard. (or whatever it is) Here is my CPU-Z info: http://valid.x86.fr/j1a9nz (Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1, Model# 7347) Mothrboard: Model Dell Type2 - Board Product Name1 BIOS Dell Inc. - A03 - 10/15/2014 CPU Socket Socket 1168 BGA North Bridge Intel Haswell-ULT rev 0B South Bridge Intel ID9C43 rev 04
3. Could you please help me enable the VGA port on the GT710 in 10.9.5 13F34 ? It is currently booting fine through its HDMI port, web driver 334.0103f01 and config.plist arguments checked: Verbose (-v), npci=0x2000, dart=0, nvda_drv=1 The nvidia GT710 works fine through its VGA port and web drivers on a friend's Mac Pro 3,1 I must soon return this borrowed HDMI monitor, mine only has a VGA port so I'd appreciate your input.
4. Please help me with this 10.9.5 system. Motherboard: Gigabyte 965p-s3 rev3.3, gpu: Ati Radeon HD6450 (dvi/hdmi/vga). Using any of the 3 ports on the 6450 (dvi, hdmi, vga), I see all the white letters on black background during boot but when they complete and it's time for the graphics to start I get a black screen and sometimes a restart after that. Using Clover 4411. Is there any way to get past this?
5. Have managed to boot into Finder without a usb but cannot see the outside world. Could you please help me to enable Marvell 80E8056 ethernet access on 10.9.5 13F34 ?
6. Trying to install Mavericks on an Asus H170M-E D3 motherboard, Skylake I3-6100 cpu, Intel 530 graphics. Last message I see is "root device uud is" and a series of "+++" but then it just stops. Have prepared usb with createinstallmedia, added Clover 4413 and changed a few settings with Configurator. Any help is welcome.
7. Note: This computer works with every version of OS X since (virtually) Snow Leopard, to High Sierra (and newer I presume, except if Apple makes drastic changes). Depending on your hardware configuration, you may need to change some settings and experiment more. My configuration: CPU: Intel Core i5 3570 3.4GHz RAM: 8GB DDR3 GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GT210 1GB (connected via HDMI) What works, what doesn't? Works: Native power management with TB, USB 3.0*, Ethernet*, parallel ports (natively)... Doesn't work: Intel HD2500. If you have i7 or another CPU with HD4000, you may get it to work. The options in BIOS are there, it's just I hadn't had any luck with the HD2500 and couldn't enable it (tried various ways). Note: I don't know if native audio works, as I own an USB audio interface and I use it without any problems. I presume you'll be able to get audio with AppleHDA patches or in last resort VoodooHDA. Let me just say that this is a relatively compatible computer. The motherboard is very good, with the exception of the PSU - you are limited to set of GPUs. Before I had the GT210, I had GTX1050 which worked wonderfully with High Sierra (latest version). But for my purposes, I needed Mavericks and hence the GPU downgrade. BIOS settings SATA mode to AHCI Disable VT-d Disable integrated GPU (if you have HD2500) Enable Execute Disable Bit Installation Guide Create an USB with DiskMakerX Install Clover on it (no special settings needed) Insert FakeSMC.kext into kexts/Other folder When booting, select all the CPU patches (including XCPM) If you have NVIDIA GT210, you'll need to disable the integrated GPU and only select 'Inject NVIDIA' in Graphics settings in Clover Viola Additional Kexts Ethernet - AppleIntelE1000e.kext USB 3.0 - GenericUSBXHCI.kext Some more screenshots:
8. How to Install MacOSX 10.9 Mavericks on a MSI GS70 Laptop This guide will show you how to get a basic functioning install of 10.9 Mavericks on a GS70 - a thin, fast, gaming laptop by MSI (details here, hw specs below). Not all hardware is functioning, please check list below, and share if you find ways to get things working. Please keep posts focused on problems, helpful hints, and solutions. FYI, my machine is triple booting Linux Mint, Windows 8, and MacOSX 10.9. I mostly use MacOS to fix my friends' computers and for iOS development, not everyday use. I haven't taken the time to get sleep, mic input, etc. working properly. Hopefully some folks can use this as a base to get more things functional. Big thank you to RehabMan, rockinron_1, EMlyDinEsH, and the makers of Clover, Kext Wizard, DSDT Editor, and all the other great, necessary tools. VoodooHDA kext (not sure if this is necessary) Step 1: Create the USB Installer (taken mostly from Vanilla Install guide) In a previous MacOSX install, use DiskUtility to Partition a USB disk with 1 HFS+ Partition, make sure GUID partion map is selected in the options. Mount your Mavericks dmg image Go to the mounted image, right click on "Mavericks.app" and choose "Show Contents" Go to "Contents/Shared Support" and mount InstallESD.dmg Mount BaseSystem.dmg by typing the following in terminal: open /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg In DiskUtility, go to the "OS X Base System", Restore it to your USB disk. Navigate to /System/Installation on your USB drive. Delete the “Packages” link, then copy the Packages folder from “OS X Install ESD” to this location. Copy the following kext's to /System/Library/Extensions on your USB stick. FakeSMC.kext and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext files from the Vanilla Guide The patched AppleCPUPowerManagement.kext from Mieze (optional, untested) You can try copying the Elan Touchpad drivers as well, read Step 5 "Touchpad and Keyboard" section below and delete approriate kexts, this could save you from needing a USB keyboard/mouse during installation Install Clover to the usb drive, customize the install with the following options: Bootloader->Install boot0af in MBR CloverEFI->64-bits SATA Themes->Choose one (Black_Green_Moody is nice) Drivers64->XhciDxe-64 Drivers64UEFI->OsxAptioFixDrv-64 Copy the mach_kernel file from RehabMan to the root of the USB drive Step 2: Installing OS X Boot into the installer, I use reFind bootloader and the USB disk just shows up when it's plugged in, you should be able to select the boot order in your bios to boot from the USB key if you don't have another bootloader installed Select "Options". Do the following: under the DSDTfixmask menu, disable "fix display" under the Graphics menu, select "Inject EDID" (inject Intel should already be selected) Now boot into the installer (return to the menu with all the OS icons and select the USB key. It'll read "Boot Mac OSX HFS+" or something) If you did not install the Elan kexts, you will have to use a USB keyboard and mouse for the install. Install OS X (use a HFS+ partition on a drive partitioned with a GUID partition map, MacOSX is a good name for the partition) Boot back into the installer like you just did early (yes select all those options) Select "Utilities" from the top and then Terminal You need to copy all those kext's you installed on the USB drive to your new installation partition. Type in the following lines, replacing MacOSX with the actual name of the partition you installed to (hint: after entering the first one, press the up arrow to save yourself some typing): cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext /Volumes/MacOSX/System/Library/Extensions/ cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/AppleCPUPowerManagement.kext /Volumes/MacOSX/System/Library/Extensions/ cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/FakeSMC.kext /Volumes/MacOSX/System/Library/Extensions/ cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2ElanTouchpad.kext /Volumes/MacOSX/System/Library/Extensions/ cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext /Volumes/MacOSX/System/Library/Extensions/ Likewise, copy the patched mach_kernel from your USB drive to the install, replacing the original- cp –R /mach_kernel /Volumes/MacOSX/ Now type "reboot" and hit enter Step 3: Intial Reboot Reboot again into the installer, choosing the same options as before BUT boot from the hard-drive, not the USB drive As MacOSX 10.9 pops up, do a little dance of joy. Install Clover onto your hard-drive, choosing the same options as before. Install Clover Configurator and run it. Do the following: Go to File->Open on the top bar and choose /EFI/Clover/config.plist (this is your current Clover configuration) In the ACPI tab, deselect FixDisplay. Make sure the DSDT name is DSDT.aml Under Graphics, select Inject EDID Choose File->Save (now you no longer have to select those options at boot time) Step 4: Touchpad and Keyboard Download EMlyDinEsH's Elan drivers (latest is 2.8.3 at time of writing): http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1948-elan-touchpad-driver-mac-os-x/ In finder, go to /System/Library/Extensions and delete the following if you can find them: ApplePS2Controller, VoodooPS2Controller, AppleACPIPS2Nub, ApplePS2Keyboard and anything that says Elan Touchpad. Using Kext Wizard, install ApplePS2Controller and ApplePS2ElanTouchpad kexts Reboot and enjoy. My keyboard glows, using my windows settings. Also, note: the touchpad is a little jerky... I think this is because of the graphics driver, but it's functional. Step 5: Ext4 (for linux peeps) Buy or try the trial of Paragon Extfs... I couldn't get anything else to read my partitions. They overcharge, buy hey, it works... Step 6: Audio (output) A bit complicated. You need to patch your DSDT, install an updated HDA driver, and maybe install VoodooHDA. I had VoodooHDA installed before I did the rest and I just left it installed... I am not sure if it is required or makes things worse (maybe input works without it?) I dunno. I would try without it first and then install it after if you need it. Download a Java runtime for 10.9 (google JavaForOSX2013-05.dmg) Download DSDT Editor (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/223205-dsdt-editor-and-patcher/ ) Download RehabMan's audio 12 layout patch: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/audio_HDEF-layout12.txt Edit the patch and remove all the instances of "\n" Run DSDT editor and Choose File->Extract DSDT from the top bar, this will get your DSDT from your BIOS Choose Patch->Open from the top bar, and select the audio 12 patch Select Patch Now choose File->Save DSL from the top bar and save this to your Desktop as DSDT.aml Now copy this to /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin Now download and use Kext Wizard to install the AppleHDA.kext from RehabMan found here: (reference: here) Restart and cheer! If it doesn't work, or you want more controls, install VoodooHDA. Make sure PCM is turned up in the VoodooHDA control panel thing. If you need mic input, etc. working, the DSDT patch is probably where you need to be digging. Post results please. Step 7: USB Wireless You will need to either install a wireless card that works with MacOS (advanced, warranty-voiding, numerous guides found elsewhere on this forum) or else buy yourself a compatible usb wireless adapter (easy, cheap). I bought this one for 8$ and it works perfectly with the drivers on the CD it came with: GMYLE Wireless 11n USB Adapter Step 8: Final notes If the computer goes to sleep it will plant, so go into the power settings and tell it not to go to sleep! (if you fix this, please post here) No networking... buy yourself a Mavericks compatible usb network adapter (will let you know when I get one working) Give credit and donations to the fine people that made these tools and patches, I just assembled them to make it work on this dreamy computer. I will try to post a zip file with some of these kexts, etc. later. If you are having trouble, in the clover boot options, add "-v" (without quotes) to the boot options. This will give a more verbose output and may indicate the issue If you are not using Clover, the busratio for this computer is 24. Adding "busratio=24" to the boot-up options (without quotes) might help for other loaders (Clover autodetects this) If you get some extra hardware working, please let us know! MSI GS70 Hardware Specifications: CPU: i7-4700HQ (2.4GHz, Haswell) Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Accelerated Graphics: NVidia GTX 765M Integrated Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600 (8086:0416) Audio: Creative X-Fi. (8086:8C20) Wireless: Atheros AR9462 (168C:0034) Ethernet: Atheros Killer E2200 (1969:E091) Hard-disk (custom: 128gb SSD, 512gb SSD, 1TB 7200rpm HDD) Enjoy!

10.9 Kernel [XCPM-free]

UPDATE: Thanks to the efforts of RehabMan, Clover/Chameleon both have kernel PM patches built in to deal with the CPU checks in newer revisions. You'd be better off using one of those instead of this kernel now. It has been rendered obsolete by his patches. ORIGINAL CONTENT: I compiled this kernel from Apple's source and since they don't include XCPM in their source, this kernel is without it. This kernel is recommended to anyone who experiences instant reboots with the vanilla 10.9 kernel. With the exception of lacking XCPM, this kernel is completely unaltered from the vanilla stock version. A patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext from 10.8.5 is REQUIRED if you expect CPUPM functionality. Please consider rating this if you found it useful. Thank you and enjoy. Credit to RehabMan for discovering XCPM isn't included in Apple's sources when he compiled his 10.9 kernel. Thanks to ameris_cyning for reminding me to add the patched AICPUPM requirement.

13. Hello I'm having audio issues with my Dell Vostro 2520's microphone with VoodooHDA The internal microphone isn't detected, yet the microphone audio port is detected, and works. According to Windows and Dell, my laptop has the Cirrus Logic CS4213 codec in it, so if that's important, there it is. I am on Mavericks 10.9.5, since that works the best on this laptop, but would be open to try newer versions if things work well enough. I can provide my DSDT if needed.
14. Create a bootable copy of macOS Sierra Check out the link http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/559-flash-drive-maker/ --Install Clover in USB stick UEFI mode https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/Installer/ --Replace Folder CLOVER INSTALLATION.zip --Install System and boot with USB STICK! --Install Clover in UEFI mode and replace with my folder Mavericks / Yosemite CLOVER Mavericks-Yosemite.zip El Capitan / Sierra CLOVER El Capitan-Sierra.zip --Reboot and activate video! 15. I know this is kind of broad, but if I build a workstation that's well supported on High Sierra now, how likely is it to still work well with the next major OSx release next fall? If you had to guess, what % chance do I have of encountering major issues when trying to update next fall? The kinds of issues that would seriously interfere with my day to day work of photo and video editing? For example, kext/kernel panics (is that even a thing still?) or major pieces of hardware suddenly not being supported, and so on... Has migrating your Hackintosh to the latest release has gotten easier in recent years? So for those of you who have been making builds for a while, is going from Sierra to High Sierra causing you fewer problems than Mavericks --> Yosemite for example or Yosemite --> El Capitan etc? Sorry if this is a bit broad and ignorant, but I've been away from the forums for quite a while and just trying to get a sense of how "stable" and "future-proof" Hackintoshes are these days - compared to Apple's own desktops ... I'm OK not updating incrementally ie v13.1 to v13.2 if I need to, but I'm worried about having to start completely from scratch with each new main version.
16. Hi. I've spent all day trying to work out how to get the 10.9.2 installer to boot via Clover... I always end up with a panic: "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\"." I've tried various combinations of -v-x -f GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000, manually adding FakeSMC.kext and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext to /EFI/clover/kexts/10.9, and pretty much anything I could find googling that line; no luck. Any ideas? These are the instructions I followed: http://www.skylineosx.com/installation/configuring-clover/ + http://www.skylineosx.com/installation/bios-configuration/. Previously I also tried https://rampagedev.wordpress.com/os-x-10-8-mountain-lion/ with the same result. I've also seen some reports that 10.9.0 would work but would I be able to upgrade back up to 10.9.4 without problems? Specs: Gigabyte H97-D3H Core i5-4460 (a Haswell) Intel HD Graphics 4600 16GB RAM ASUS 802.11n Wi-Fi adapter
17. Hi. These days I've installed my first hackintosh on an Acer Aspire 5742G-384G32Mnkk. I tried to follow various tutorials around the web but I haven't already found a way to use this video card on my system. Is there a way to get it work? Notes: - I use Clover as my default bootloader - Mavericks detects correctly my card on System Information as 0x68E4 (but it's not present on AMD* kexts) - System Information detects correctly my card model (ATI Radeon HD 6370M Series) but it says that I have only 4MB of VRAM (my card have 512MB of dedicated memory) - On verbose boot, OS X detects that I have the following cards: Controller: Intel PCH (vendor ID: 8086, device ID: 3b56) Controller: ATI (Unknown) (vendor ID: 1002, device ID: aa68) - I don't know how to build a custom EDID, Framebuffer Thanks for your support!
19. I'm attempting to use the GA-H81M-HD2 with the clover boot loader and i can't seem to get past the clover bootloader screen. I select the USB mavericks installer and the screen just goes black and the peripherals turn off. I see from some research people are having success with it but i can't seem to get it working past this screen. Has anyone else have success and has their DSDT settings available? I've seen reports with all disabled and i've seen reports where i have to specify the display hardware Id so i can get the built in HE4600 working but nothing has granted me success. BTW i've already got my GA-Z81X-UD3H working flawlessly with clover.
20. Greetings, I am doing a "vanilla" installation using the excellent instructions in this installation guide, and have run into a problem: First, the hardware list: Motherboard: Asus P5K-V, latest BIOS (version 1002) CPU: Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz RAM: 8 GB Graphics: PNY GeForce 9800 GT GDDR3 1GB This computer has been running Snow Leopard stably for quite a while, so I know there are no fundamental problems with the hardware. When I boot from my prepared USB drive, it boots the operating system to the point where the graphics mode is engaged, and then I am left with a white screen initially with a mouse pointer arrow, and then with the "spinning beachball". Since it takes quite a while to reach this point, I have left the system in this state for a long time to see if it ever recovers, and so far it hasn't. I know that the CPU hasn't crashed completely because the "beachball" continues to spin, I can move the mouse pointer, and the system even blanks the screen if I let it sit long enough, turning it back on when I hit a key on the keyboard. I have used a variety of boot arguments: -v (I would never boot without this one!) GraphicsEnabler=Yes (graphics come up, but then something else seems to hang), -x (safe mode simply takes longer with the mouse pointer arrow before the spinning ball appears), but nothing seems to give a different result. Any suggestions? What else might I try? Is there any way to have the system provide additional debug information? Thanks in advance to all.

HP Compaq plist

I am getting the error "an error occurred while installing OS X." I have found a few different things that I can't figure out. It seems like my Intel computer is up to the hardware requirements but I don't know what plist settings I should have... i'm using the Chameleon Wizard to edit my plist file and i've tried a bunch of different stuff. This is my computer, and here are my plist settings... plist.tiff I've messed with the plist settings 100 times and can't get it right... I have ACPI mode on in my bios but I can't find UEFI settings anywhere, the bios version is "786G1 v01.23". But since I can get to the installation screen doesn't that mean i'm past most of the issues? I am also getting an error "BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist", no idea how to get rid of that. Do I need to flash my bios to get UEFI settings correct? I have been Googling around on how to do that and can't find out how to do it. I have given it my all... I am stuck
23. Hello, I originally started with my WAMP stack running on Windows 8.1, and installed Mavericks on a second HDD so I have a "distraction-free" work environment. I used Paragon NTFS drivers to get R/W access to my NTFS partitions. This way, I was able to get the built-in Apache running and pointed it to my existing document root on the Windows partition. I then installed the exact same MySQL version (5.6.12) I had on Windows, on my OS X partition. However when I tried pointing the datadir to my old folder on my Windows partition, it didn't work: ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file Further reading brought up the possibility this could be a permissions issue. I know MySQL has a separate "_mysql" user on OS X, which I assume needs the same R/W access to my NTFS partition. Is there any way I can do this? I'm not sure the Paragon NTFS drivers give R/W rights to all users (I could be wrong). Or is there a better way I can set up auto-mount R/W NTFS access for all users? Hoping for some help. Thanks!
24. Boa noite pessoal. Portatil: Insys m761su CPU: T3400 RAM: 4GB Grafica geforce 9300M GS
25. Hi everybody, i have a Samsung np500p4c-t03cl laptop, and after a lot of problems, i finally can install OS X in my pc using Niresh Mavericks DVD. but, so as i said before, i've got some troubles with my installation, caused by hardware i think. my laptop specs are: Intel® Core™ i5 3210M (2.50 GHz, 3 MB, caché L3), Intel HM76 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M gDDR3 1 GB // Intel HD 4000 DDR3 de 8 GB a 1,600 MHz (4 GB x 2), 2 SODIMM S-ATAII de 1 TB (5,400 RPM) Wifi Qualcom Atheros AR9485WB-EG Eth Realtek PCIe GBE Realtek audio card troubles are: -for some reason osx only boot with the flags PCIRootUID=1 -x -v, is that "normal"? if i dont use -x flag the mic start to capture audio and the speakers got noise (i read in bootloading some of voodooHDA failed or something like that) -without flag -x got troubles with the Win8 partition -doesnt recognize usb devices (usb mouse is what only works) with this i cant run ##### -and wifi, but I found out that my network card is not supported yet -i can boot osx only using the niresh dvd, otherwise boots win8 automatically thanks in advance, ive googled a lot to find some responses, but no success.
