So I am finally able to install OS X Yosemite on my acer laptop. Everything works quite well; it's smooth, no overheating (like it did in mavericks), no screen artifacts, multitasking is also quite well.. So aside from the fact that I'm installing this using Chameleon Enoch r2403, I want to use Clover bootloader (which is already installed on my ESP partition).

Here comes the problem. The clover in the ESP is working just fine, it boots me with the correct resolution, but in the middle of booting into Yosemite, the screen will split into 4 screens. I can't seem to understand much when I try to fix it using Clover Configurator. I tried to install Chameleon, but it keeps booting into clover instead of chameleon. Also tried to uninstall clover in the ESP, but the ESP partition also cannot be erased...

I want to fix the clover if I still can though.. but if there's no way to do it, then I would like to know if there is a way to change and using Chameleon instead.

Just to celebrate the efforts I did to install yosemite, here's a little screenshot:

hello

try to use dual link in clover

http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/Graphics#DualLink

good hack

you mean I should put this

<key>DualLink</key>
<integer>0</integer>

in the config? I did a research and found out if the resolution is not greater than 1366x768, I should use 0 instead of 1... I'll try the 0 first then.. thanks

hello

0 is the default ..

should try 1

and maybe ur ig-platform-id is the wrong one..

good hack

I tried 1 but still the same...

how to look ig-platform-id and change it to the right one?

config.plist.zip

I solved this by re-adding DSDT.aml, config.plist and the kexts then includes these boot-args:

-f darkwake=0 kext-dev-mode=1

Now my clover boots properly even with the correct resolution.
