    HighSierra on Acer a515-51g-58vh

Hello everyone, I just installed highsierra on my notebook with help by Maldon and Mirone. I have almost everything working, missing only a few details: - I think I have a lot of kexts i do not use - HDMI Audio not working - the screen turns black after sleep - boot takes more then a minute can anybody help me? folder with SendMe, Clover and IOREG: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xPTVrHVL4Z_Dh3oeDMpQ7EQKHsigBWC2?usp=sharing hardware: i5-7200, hd620, 940mx, 8gb ram, 1TB
  3. Hello, After trying SO MANY times without success, I decided to seek help from my fellow OSX86 Community. I have an Acer Aspire E1-570G Laptop with these specs: - Intel Core i3-3217U @ 1,8GHz - HM77 - 8GB RAM DDR3L 1600MHz (Dual Channel) - Intel HD Graphics 4000 (ID=0166) and nVidia GeForce GT740M - 64-Bit Edition - 15,6" with 1366x768 resolution - Clover 3192 Bootloader. I've been trying to get OS X working but I keep running into various problems: - The common one is that Intel HD 4000 won't work, it's detected but 4MB VRAM. - The computer sometimes auto-reboot after reaching a certain level of boot process as shown here (for reference only) . That problem mostly happen when I check "Inject Intel" in clover GUI before booting.- It stuck if I use Chameleon with IGPEnabler=Yes and GraphicsEnabler=No - I also get "Still waiting for root device error sometimes, I solved this by using Generic USB 3.0 kext. What I tried: - Using different versions of OS X: 10.8.2 Retail DVD (bought it long time back), 10.9.5 downloaded from App Store and 10.10.2 - 10.10.3 all from App Store. - Using different versions of Clover, Chimera and Chameleon like Clover 2593, 3113, 3192 and latest; many versions of Chameleon including patched ones (2.1svn r1999 - r2000, something like that). - Using both UEFI Mode installation and Vanilla Installation (with Chameleon). - Using modded BIOS to be able to disable some parameters (not willing to change switchable graphics though, it's set to automatic; I once changed that value and run into a blank screen at start up on a HP Laptop). - Changing VRAM value in BIOS varying between 32MB and 512MB (below 32MB and above 512MB will cause problem). - Using different SMBIOS (MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and the generic Mac Pro "3,1") - Using different IG-PlatformID (the 01660003 one was supposed to work, but it doesn't). What I didn't try: - Using DSDT to disable nvidia, I didn't because I can't find a DSDT for that GPU and I can't patch one myself. So my questions now are: - Can't my laptop be hackintoshed ? - Can someone patch a DSDT for me that disables GT740M ? Thank you in advance. hd4000.tiff
), clover configurator, ShowHiddenFiles, Efimounter, Voodooprefpane e Kext Utility Sierra version . 6. Hi! Could anyone help me installing High Sierra on this system? I succesfully installed Sierra before on this system with help of Jake Lo (thanks!!), I just wondering if could High sierra possible to installed on this system? Boot stopped at this. I'll attach my Clover folder and a picture from boot. UEFI enabled, and for skylake I used IntelGraphicsDVMTfixup and IntelGraphicsFixup kexts. My bios is very limited and does not have any option to change dvmt prealloc or anything else. Everything works fine on Sierra. Here is my system: Acer Aspire V15 V5-591G-55TU (Note: Bootpack works fine with another versions of 591G, for example: V5-591G-71K2, -764Z, -59PU, etc.) Mobo: Skylake USOPP_SLS Bios: Insyde corp latest version CPU: Intel Core i5-6300HQ 2.30 GHz (Skylake) GPU: Geforce GTX 950M 2 GB (optimus, disabled), Intel HD 530 Ram: 8 GB DDR4 (4+4 GB) Wifi: Qualcomm Atheros QCNFA344A, Replaced to BCM94352Z Ethernet: Realtek 8168B/8111B Audio: ALC 255 (layout-3 fix) Card Reader: Realtek HDD: 1 TB Dual-boot with Windows 10 Any help appreciated! Card Reader: Unsupported For WiFi: You can choose an external USB wifi dongle (I used tp-link Archer T1U (5GHz support), Tp-link have official macOS drivers, you just need to install it (OR)Replace your M.2 Qualcomm Card with a compatible BCM94352Z card (you will have hand-off Bluetooth too), just install the kext I wrote above I'll attach my EFI folder for anyone who want to install High Sierra (acer_aspire_v5_591g_55tu_hs.zip). *REUPLOADED updated CLOVER folder, attached as "v5_591g_55tu_updated_CLOVER.zip" (uploaded to OSXLatitude forum, can't upload here). I'm using High Sierra in Dual-boot with Windows 8.1. To do this in a clean install or with Windows installed first try my little minimal guide: Dual-boot clean install (on one drive): 1. Boot into your Mac installer, Create 2 partitions in GUID table (1 for Win (I used FAT32 but I think it's no matter what), 1 for Mac), 2. Install Mac, boot with your USB, *mount your EFI partition (use terminal or an EFI mounter app), create an EFI folder, copy the CLOVER folder I attached to the EFI folder, restart, 3. Boot into your Win installer, Format the partition you created for Win, install. 4. Now, it's automatically booting into Windows. To use Clover open cmd in administrator, type: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi 5. You're done! It will booting into Clover when you start the system, and you can select Win or Mac (or another OS if installed on a 3rd partition). Dual-boot with Windows installed first (on one drive): If you already have Windows and you don't want to lose all your data there is a hope: You need bootable Mac Installer and a full system restore image (you can search for it). (You may see errors if your EFI partition is not 200 MB) 1. Boot into your Windows, resize your partition or create one for Mac. 2. Boot into your Mac installer and in Disk Utility format the partition you created. 3. Restore from image: select your full system restore image. 4. When it's finished restoring you just need to restart, then boot to the system with your usb. 5. Do Step 2. from "*" from clean install dual-boot above. but KEEP "Microsoft" FOLDER IN IT! 6. Do Step 4. from clean install dual-boot above. 7. You're done! You can select your old Windows and your new macOS! (I only tried with Windows 8/8.1/10. I don't know Windows 7,etc.) IF YOU GETTING ERRORS DURING MAC RESTORE: Make sure you have partitions in GPT The best version for restore method is Windows 8.1. It's using 200 MB EFI. Windows 10 using 100 MB EFI and will annoy the Mac restore. You can use with Windows 10, just ignore the errors IF YOU GETTING ERRORS DURING WINDOWS INSTALLATION (could not be formatted, etc): Make sure you have GPT partitions, and GPT installer IF YOU USED RESTORE METHOD THEN CAN'T MOUNT YOUR EFI PARTITION (No EFI partition found) It's because your EFI is not 200 MB or not an "Apple" original EFI, but do not worry, try another EFI mounter, or mount from terminal (I used EFI mounter v3: Getting errors, but you can mount and use without problem) You also could "mount" the EFI from windows, for that open cmd and type: diskpart list vol (Now select the "System" volume,(FAT 32) For example I select 4) sel vol 4 list part (Select System type partition, for example 2) sel part 2 assign letter=b (This will "mount" your EFI partition, to manage files download totalcmd or explorer++ (run as admin)) remove letter=b (This will "unmount" your EFI) Here is a video from dual-boot with Windows installed first (on one drive): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Q8uPkwcWQ Here some pictures:
  7. Hi! I'm facing a problem on my notebook. I have: Acer Aspire V 15 V5-591G-55TU Skylake-H PC-H i5-6300HQ - HD 530 - Skylake 4+4 GB DDR4 optimus GTX 950M (disabled) BRCM94352Z wifi Windows 8.1 & High Sierra 10.13.3 Natively sleep isn't working, there is a blank screen after sleep, so I used custom EDID Inject to get it working. Before sleep, everything is working fine, but after sleep, I couldn't open videos(on youtube or anywhere higher than 240p), pictures, FaceTime. This is a hardware decode problem, so I opened terminal and typed this: defaults write com.apple.coremedia hardwareVideoDecoder disable After this, Safari and video players could open HD or any videos after sleep, but Chrome not responding (Chrome forced hardware acceleration, and good after disabled that in advanced settings), FaceTime, Preview also not responding, and the pictures on hdd just loading too, nothing happens. Problem exist on all HS versions (13.0 - 13.3). On Sierra 10.12.6 this problem does not exists. Here I'll attach informations (ioreg, CLOVER, screenshot). Kext using at boot for skylake: Lilu, IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup, IntelGraphicsFixup. I'll appreciate any help. 11. Hi everybody! I need some help today: I’m trying to install Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5 on my friend’s laptop, which is an Acer Aspire 5250, but that’s quite a difficult task because it’s an AMD CPU. The model is AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD Graphics (graphics model Radeon HD 6320). I need some help because I can’t boot the installer, when I select my USB from Clover, after the row of pluses in verbose mode instead of showing me all the booting commands it stucks on a black screen and the screen starts flickering along with a continuous beep sound and so I’m unable to get to the installer. Do I need a patched kernel or something else? Are you able to give me some help? Thanks!

    Acer Aspire V5-571G

Hi, So i have this system up and running for a while now, it's not perfect, lacks some functionality here and there, but it's usable and stable. How to create your own installer: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2030113 What works: - Speedstep - Sleep/Wake - Intel HD4000 - Audio + HDMI + Webcam + FN Keys + Touchpad with gestures - Bluetooth (Use BTFirmwareuploader) - Ethernet - NVRAM + Brightness slider + Battery status What does not work: - Brightness slider (needs a small modification in the DSDT) - Wifi (The bios blocks all mini-pci cards, i'm using a cheap usb adapter) - NVIDIA Geforce GT620M (Disabled in DSDT) - Card reader (Not researched) I spent some time reducing the DSDT size and fixing most of the issues. This DSDT can be classified as a mini-DSDT, it only injects what it needs too, to keep the system functional. The HDMI audio patch and SSDT generation are now managed by Clover. Generating the SSDT by Clover allows setting an other SMBIOS than the iMac13,1/2. Injecting the AppleHDA from Clover does not seem to work, although everything is patched and injected correctly (according to IORegistryexplorer), somehow the device does not show up. After an update, use Mirone's AppleHDAPatcher: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297562-applehdapatcher/ with the ALC271x files: ALC271x.zip Attached the files needed for Clover to get everything working correctly, move them in place as shown in the screenshot: Old content: - 16/06/2015: Small updates in the DSDT to fix the webcam from only working when booting out of Windows. Ethernet device renamed to GIGE. - 17/06/2015: Minor optimizations, original ACPI tables added. config.plist.zip Kexts.zip drivers64UEFI.zip DSDT.zip ACPI.zip

    Acer Aspire V3-772G

So I tried to install macOS on my acer using a appstore version of Sierra, now the booting and also the installing went all fine, but I have only 7mb vram, the keyboard/touchpad wasn't working, no sound, ofc no WIFI and not even the ethernet was available. Now i know that is is fairly standard, but i cant get even one of those things to work. I'm not used to macOS not even speaking of hackintosh soooo yea i could use some help On the other hand, im not a total computer noob, so given a little instruction i should be able to fix this, i hope. Now to the specs, i have a hw report down in the attachments, you will see that i have two hard drives, a 1TB HDD as well as a 500GB SSD, i want to install Sierra on the 1TB HDD as i'm not using it at the moment. I attached the ACPI tables edit: i also have a sierra VM under windows 10 if that is needed edit 2: i donated to iatkos about 24h ago, so i'll get that in at least 24h Acer Aspire V3-772g.HTM ACPI origin.rar
  19. Note: I hope this tutorial will be inspiration for somebody willing to install Sierra on unsupported hackintoshes! As you may know, I’ve installed before Snow Leopard, Yosemite and El Capitan on this computer. You can find my tutorials on insanelymac. Now it’s time for Sierra 10.12.4. You need to upgrade the processor to a Core2Duo T9300 (20 euros). I highly recommend having 3 GB of RAM installed, and a SSD drive (I have a 120 GB SSD, 50 euros). And you’ll need a real mac or a hackintosh (maybe this same Acer 5315, if you have it hackintoshed) to create the installer and so on. We will use 2 USB sticks, one of them has to be 8 GB or larger, and an external HDD. Important: Use the left top USB and the right one. Don’t use the left bottom USB, because it will be disabled and Sierra will not detect it. PART 1: The installation process Take the “small” USB stick. In my case, I’m using a 128 MB microSD with a small USB reader. You have to format it with a MBR partition scheme. Create a HFS partition on it. You can use Disk Utility. Let’s call it “installU”. Install Enoch-rev.2839.pkg on installU. You only have to select one option. Under “Bootloader Chameleon”, mark the second option saying "Install Chameleon in the chosen partition". Be sure you are installing it on installU, use the option "Change install location...". Install Clover_v2.4k_r4049.pkg on installU. You have to check 3 options. First, “Bootloader/install boot0af in MBR”; second, “CloverEFI/CloverEFI 64-bits SATA”. Third, and optional, “Themes/BGM”. Be sure you are installing it on installU, use the option "Change install location...". Download the ZIP I provide with some important things you will need (here). From the ZIP file, take the EFI folder and overwrite the one you have on installU. With this, we have some important kexts, a patched DSDT.aml, and a great config.plist that says we have a Macbook 5,1. Now you have a USB stick that can boot Clover. You need to be sure your Acer boot from it. So, you will have to go to BIOS pressing F2 and select it as the first boot option. Note: Clover will appear in some seconds. It will take some time the first time you boot with this USB stick. You have to boot from InstallU every time you boot or reboot during the entire step 7. Now we need to create the Sierra installer on the other USB, let’s call it “installSie”, and install Sierra on the external HDD. To do that, just follow the instructions by Dosdude. The link: http://dosdude1.com/sierrapatch.html Basically, what you will do: a. You will download Sierra 10.12.4.dmg. You can do that in this webpage. b. You will format installSierra as GUID and with a HFS+ Journaled partition. c. You will download and use a tool to create the installSie USB stick. d. Once installed, you will have to boot from installU and select the installS USB stick to boot the Sierra installer. e. Inside of the Sierra installed, you will take the external HDD and format it as GUID and with a HFS+ Journaled partition. Let’s call it “SierraHDD”. If you are an advanced user, maybe you have the HDD in this way; so, you will be able to skip this step. Or you can even have on the HFS partition a Captain backup done with Carbon Copy Cloner and the system will be updated to Sierra without losing your apps and files, at least, supposedly. f. You will install macOS Sierra on SierraHDD with the installer. Maybe you will need an USB keyboard! I needed it during the installation and the first boots of Sierra, until Sierra detected I had a keyboard, and I configured it pressing one key from the keyboard when Sierra asked me to do that. g. IMPORTANT: You have to run macOS Post Install as it’s described in this webpage, selecting the default patches for a Macbook 5,1. h. When you do all of this, you have Sierra installed on SierraHDD and you are booting your computer with InstallU to tell Clover to boot macOS from the external HDD. NOTE: Be patient. We are doing a thing that is not very supported by our BIOS. BIOS needs tones of time to boot from a GPT partition. So, installerU needs time to load the Sierra installer. When we boot the SierraHDD from Clover, it requires time, too. Maybe 5 minutes, or even more. PART 2: Post installation process (optional) Now you have to decide what to do. Now Sierra boots but it needs a lot of time to do that, due to the fact it’s installed on a GPT disk. Note: This SierraHHD gives you the power to boot Mac real computers and even some Sierra unsupported real Macs, as the Macbook 5,1. An option is taking your internal HDD, format it as MBR, clone Sierra using Carbon Copy Clone to the internal SSD, and do steps from 2 to 5 to make your internal SDD bootable. In this way, you will not need the installU USB stick anymore and Sierra will boot very fast. When this is done, you can go to the BIOS pressing F2 when booting and tell Acer to boot from the internal HDD/SSD. Why are you doing all this? Because Sierra needs to be installed on a GPT disk and it refuses to be installed on a MBR disk. Once installed, we can trick it as I have just explained. PART 3: Issues Remember, Intel GMA X3100 graphics card is not supported by Sierra. So, it’s detected thanks to the GMA X3100 kexts, from OS X Hackers. But we don’t have OpenGL, neither QE/CI. The loss you have with this is partially solved by the internal SSD. Sincerely, if you use the Acer for web surfing and office work, it’s ok in my opinion. Wifi is not working. Sound is not working. Ethernet is not working correctly. Left bottom USB port is not working (it didn’t work when I had El Capitan). What I’ve done: Wi-FI: I don’t use it, but you can find info here (there is a list of native airport half mini cards). I have bought an Atheros AR5B91 Mini PCI-E Card (an used one costs 3-5 euros on eBay). It's detected out-of-the-box as it was an Airport card. Ethernet: I had at home two USB Ethernet cards. TP-LINK UE300, 1 Gbps, 20 euros, it works out-of-the-box. UGREEN USB 2.0 Multifunction Hub with Ethernet, 20 euros, it works out-of-the-box. I personally use the UGREEN because I need more than two USB ports. Audio: I have an external USB device from EC Technology, 9 euros, out-of-the-box (link to it: https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B011QA7R9O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). UPDATED (21th April 2017): Install these kexts in S/L/E. Rename AppleHDA-patched-alc268.kext to AppleHDA.kext before doing that. Remember, if you update Sierra you will probably need to reinstall these kexts. You can install them using Kext Utility v2.6.6. Download them from here. You will have to use a new config.plist for Clover. Download it from here. Overwrite your config.plist with this one. Credits: Mirone and his fabulous AppleHDA Patcher.app Another thing: This Acer 5315-5715z doesn't need one of the most supposedly needed kexts from /EFI/Clover/kexts/10.12/: NullCPUPowerManagement.kext. I'm not using it at all, although it is in EFI Clover Kexts folder: you can delete it. This is because Core2Duo T9300 is supported by macOS Sierra out-of-the-box. Remember, if you have cloned Sierra to the MBR formatted internal SSD, you have an external HDD as a backup. If you have done all the process with your Acer 5315, and you have, as it’s my case, an Acer 5715z, you will be able to boot the 5715z with the InstallU USB stick and this external HDD, out-of-the-box. It will need some time, you know why, as it happens with the 5315. Updated (21th April 2017): I've used this GPT external HDD to boot from it, directly, without any installation process, Sierra on a Lenovo U330, and, after that, I have cloned it to the Lenovo's internal HDD using Carbon Copy Cloner, installed Clover to the Lenovo's internal HDD, and it works nicely; so, this external HDD is a very good aid to create more hackintoshes. Credits All the hackintosh community, and the "unsupported mac hackers", in this case, OS X Hackers and TRMJIJ, and Dosdude1. Thanks to merging the knowledge from the two communities, installing Sierra on this unsupported machine has become a reality. Finally, audio kext has been created thanks to Mirone.
  20. Hi, (I known I have posted about an Acer Laptop before, but I got a new one recently) I have so far managed to create a bootable USB with macOS Sierra on and I can't get to the install screen. I can boot to the flash drive and see the clover screen but then it won't boot to an install screen. It shows the Apple Logo and then the progress bar shows up and does nothing. (It basically stalls I think) My Laptop specs are. (Acer Aspire F15 (F5-573G)) Intel Core i7-6500u Nvidia GTX 950M Intel HD Graphics 520 8GB DDR4 Memory 120GB SSD I don't own a mac so I had to create the USB using a .raw file I downloaded which must work because it worked on the tutorial and I followed every step. I have pretty good knowledge of computers but no where near an expert. But if you need any more information, you will need to give me a clue on how to answer your question. Please don't comment if this is stupid or something, I'm only hear to get an answer and to get to the installation screen to install macOS Sierra. Thanks, Daniel
  21. Hey guys so, i have succesfully installed yosemite on laptop, almost everything is working but i can't get keyboard to work. I tried to install rehab's ps2voodoo controller but no success. Thank you in advance ^^
  22. Laptop Model : Acer Aspire ES1-571 System Configuration: i5-4210U HD 4400 4GB Ram 1TB Hdd What Works : Graphics battery indicator Networking(using usb wifi - RT2870) Sound almost everything What does not work: Sleep - Instant Wake clover sometimes get's stuck at error allocating runtime area in pages ... (I reboot until it boots up-> usually 2,3 times)(FIXED) CLOVER CAN BE FIXED USING THIS FILE I FOUND ONLINE : remove all other osxaptiofix.efi's from your UEFIDRIVERS64 Folder and just add this OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi.zip Clover Extracted Origin DSDT : origin.zip Patched DSDT : Patched.zip SLEEP : with my DSDT(without RTC patch) reboots in sleep with my DSDT(using RTC patch) Wake reason = GLAN EHC1 XHC //instant wake on sleep Patches Applied RTC -> Prevents restart when I put the laptop to sleep SMBUS Brightness (PNLF)-> Works Great (Haswell - Rehabman) WMI -> removed IMEI -> added what I have tried, I tried removing all the _PRW methods(Including XWAK in XHC) in the DSDT wake reason = power-button XHC (User) I tried the Rehabman 0x0D/0x6D/0x0D+0x6D patched (no change) PATCHED WITH ACPI DEBUG : Patched_ACPI_DEBUG.zip I tried using AcpiDebug.kext by rehab man but all the _PRW methods are called and that leads to the instant system wake. (I Just added "\RMDT.PUSH ("CALLING _PRW LOCATION")")
  23. It's the second time I stumble on this problem, first time on a Lenovo G50-70 with HD4400 igpu. The displays prefs panel in Sierra (final version) won't load, now I got it also on an Acer e571 with HD4000 igpu. Is this a known problem? On my Asus x401a with HD4000 this problem doesn't occur. Both the failing laptops are using intelbacklight kext and edid is being discovered correctly so it's not a problem of EDID injecting. Any clue?
  24. Hi, I have so far managed to create a bootable USB with macOS Sierra on and I can't get to the install screen. I can boot to the flash drive and see the clover screen but then it won't boot to an install screen. My Laptop specs are. (Acer Aspire E14 (E5-411-C9KS)) Intel Celeron N2840 (Which apparently has an equivalent to HD Graphics 4000?) 4GB DDR3 L Memory. And the rest isn't important because it has integrated graphics but it is only classed as "Intel HD Graphics" and nothing else. I don't own a mac so I had to create the USB using a .raw file I downloaded which must work because it worked on the tutorial and I followed every step. I have pretty good knowledge of computers but no where near an expert. But if you need any more information, you will need to give me a clue on how to answer your question. 25. I have Acer Aspire E5-572G [having Core i5-4210M and NVIDIA Geforce 940M 2GB ] and installed Sierra 10.12.2. I have got intelgraphics , brightness ,audio (ALC 283) and wifi (atheros ar956x) working by following guides on this site. But, Trackpad is not working, only keyboard is working after I have installed VoodooPS2Controller.kext . (I think trackpad is synaptics as I install synaptics driver on windows. ) webcam is not working too ( when I open FaceTime , it shows no camera found) I have installed Nvidia web drivers but I think card is not being detected. Battery is draining very fast. Plz guide me how to resolve above issues and what else do I need to do (applying patches or other tweaks etc) to get a fully working Mac. Thanks.
