allenwkk
There is no upgrade available in apple store from 388b to 389. however, when I tried downloading Yosemite from Feature tab in apple store, it said "OS X v10.10 is already installed on this computer. Use the Updates page to install the 10.10 update or if you would like to download the full OS X installer click Continue" Any quicker method to upgrade instead of going through the USB flash drive method? is it worth to upgrade from 388b to 389? thanks for any help in advance. Nemorosus
Well, you can just "spoof" your version to be 10.9, so you'll get an option for Yosemite. If you don't know how to do this, Google it; but basically it's changing the info.plist in the System.
lisai9093
i wonder is it really necessary to upgrade? what if we can update to 10.10.1 from both versions? Then there is no need for this upgrade.
HBP
I downloaded it anyway and installed over the GM beta just like a normal make via the upgrade option... HBP
allenwkk
I done the upgrade through the USB drive approach. Found FaceTime and iMessage both not working.... activation error. FaceTime did work in GM3
capitanbelico
try erase all networks in network system preferences, then go to library/preferences/configurationsystem/ in it are network.plist, airport, plist etc. erase , reboot and add again ethernet connection. doing this you be able to use FaceTime ID and iMessages.
