It was called Leopard Cache Cleaner then, they change the name for each OS X version. Most people swear by Onyx and there's another one that has been popular for years whose name escapes me at the moment. It talks about things like SMC reset and PRAM reset and all that. I am not sure if they are safe? A lot of people have commented that it is safe though. Both are reliable and able to remove unwanted junks, caches and duplicates files. Long Cat Posted September 25, 2014 Share Posted September 25, 2014 IMO, Clean My Mac is just consumer-friendly crapware for OSX. 1. OSX does a good enough job of keeping itself 'clean'. 2. You're smart enough to do any additional cleaning or cache clearing yourself. 3. UI is very condescending and childish. I've had some strange side effects using this program in the past, only use if you're desperately low on disk space.
