Mikethebike
I need to edit, well currently I'm stuck at "waiting for root device", but transmac etc. cannot open the usb stick. I don't know what format it is but not hfs+. Well but I can boot but am stuck as above. That device should work? WD Caviar Green, 64MB, 1TB, SATA-3 Thanks for help
PippoX0
Try Macdrive for Windows . Install and reboot then you can open USB drive as native device. (read and write)
Mikethebike
no it says unknow format or so. would waiting for root device mean that it cannot detect any of my two hd?
wrk73
Using Gparted Live CD/USB to create HSF+ format. If you have a mac system running, you can use disk ultility. For "waiting for root device": - Try boot with flag npci=0x2000 - Change usb port.
