milan475
So I was wondering. Is it just me, or is Apple Mail in OS X 10.9 using extermely much CPU time? It's constantly using about 30-50% of my Core 2 Duo. Is this some bug in Apple Mail that affects a lot of people or should I rebuilt my mail library? Greetings, Milan
santiaga
Hi, have the same issue. You can solve it by disabling Spotlight -> Disable Mail & Massages.
aphioner
In DP3, Mail app is extremely buggy. It even fails to fetch Gmail messages. I suppose we should wait for DP4.
PGHammer
In DP3, Mail app is extremely buggy. It even fails to fetch Gmail messages. I suppose we should wait for DP4. I haven't had any issues with Mail on any of Mavericks' DPs (currently running DP5). It's all the more amazing in the case of GMail, as that is my designated spamcatcher, and thus gets rather large. Still, DP4 and DP5 are further along, and therefore less likely to be as buggy as DP3.
pinarek
PGHammer ... you have no problems with mail in DP5? then maybe you could try to append an attachment to an email and mail program crashed immediately rushes off with a crash report! I have no problem attaching things in DP5's Mail. It crashed a couple of times since the latest update but I was adding and deleting accounts that time.
