bobcatx Posted August 21, 2011 Share Posted August 21, 2011 Hi. I followed the instructions on using a USB Lion installer. Everything went fine, even the installation of Lion went fine. But whenever I get to the first boot, it's either I see a gray screen, or a lighter gray screen with a mouse pointer. I waited for minutes but nothing happens. I have also tried using -v and -x but still nothing. Effendi Posted March 22, 2012 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Same problem here using the same motherboard with an i3 CPU, but without additional GPU and the onboard CPU-GPU instead. Does anyone have an idea how that can happen? bigben1 Posted March 23, 2012 Share Posted March 23, 2012 boot with your usb plugged in , when usb drive boots choose the lion installation hdd and -x -v flags, once booted fix permissions and install rsdeon kexts.
