FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO APPRECIATE JaS and Semjaza FOR DEDICATING THEIR VALUABLE TIME IN BRINGING A FINE Mac OS X 10.4.7 release...

Now there where initial failures but now the system has improved a lot...transiting from Unstability..toward a giant leap in stability..

Following Issues Resolved....

1. Now The About My Mac does not crashes...

2. I m able to shut down my system in a timely manner....

3. Now the Sound icon on the Menu bar does not crashes when i click on it...

But one of the problem still existing is that I am unable to Install softwares on Mac OS X..as the wizard stops responding as soon as it loads... Any kind of help in this context wud be greatly appreciated..

But anyways its really enjoyable to work on Mac OS X 10.4.7...

all because of JaS and Semjaza...

Hat's off to u guys... :(

Congrats Sam. As with me I am yet to figure out the best image of OSX for x86 ? Any suggestions ?

Whats the whole thing abut Samjaz decrypts ?

AMD Athlon XP 2600 does not support SSE2, any workarounds available for this ? Or I have to forgo this project ?

Hi, congratulations Sam !

I have a similar configuration and I found the same problems...

Could you teell me (by PM if you prefer) the precise name of the Semjaza patch you used ?

In my JAD 10.4.7 DVD I cannot find it... where did you take the patch ?

Thank you very much

Bye

FROM MY RESEARCH WORK THAT I HAD MADE ON MAC OS X X86..IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE FOR U UNTIL AND UNLESS U GET AT LEAST AN SSE2 BASED CPU !! LIKE ANY STARTER VERSION OF PENTIUM 4 OR AMD64..

AND FOR THAT YES JaS is gud if u have compatible processors of Amd..or Intell.and Semjaza are the decrypts that need to b installed if ur using AMD system..coz there r some issues that can be resolved with it..

JaS THANK YOU! ;) You make as happy!

I have the same problems with installer and other stuff, it's freeze, but i try Pacifist and I get some results...

My SATA hard drive's, after multipple restarts (not working, only button), appears and dessapears..strange :P

This is my configuration ( sorry for my bad english...) :

CPU: AMD64 3000+ @ 3500+

MB: Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939

RAM: 2 GB DDR 500 ADATA VITESA

HDD: 1xWD RAPTOR @ 36 GB SATA(!)-> Windows

1xMaxtor@ 80 GB ATA 133 -> Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack

1x Seagate @ 80GB SATA(!)

GPU: Nvidia GeForce FX 6800 GS 512 MB(working in VESA mode, I try multiple driver from macvidia, except 1.0.8->installer.., not working)

LAN: Marvell Yukon 88E8001 working(with some upgrades :) )

TvTunner: K-World TV883 not working (just for the records...)

Audio: Creative Audigy not working, Ac'97 working(onboard)

Once again and forever: THANK YOU!

Sam, how did you apply that patch? I just got the SemJaza 10.4.7 decrypts and

tried to apply them. Well... I did twice, and I twice screwed up my system.

First I tried to patch the whole thing without installing the 10.4.7 Intel update, because

I thought I won't be neccesary as I'm running the JaS 10.4.7 release.. so it's already

10.4.7.. but well, got kernel panic on reboot after that.

Second time I downloaded the update from apple and installed it using parcifist. That time

I got no kernel panic, but the user interface didn't load anymore..

That's the discripton I have for patching:

1. First one must make backups of certain files. Issue following commands.

sudo mkdir /backup_1046

sudo cp /mach_kernel /backup_1046

sudo cp /System/Library/Frameworks/Kernel.framework/Versions/A/Resources/*.plist /backup_1046

sudo cp -R /System/Library/Extensions /backup_1046

sudo cp -R /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework /backup_1046

2. Run pacifist and open the MacOSXUpd10.4.7Intel.pkg file. Select everything and install it.

3. Run replace.sh so it replaces crucial encrypted system files. This command only works if you are in the working directory of the patch!

sudo ./replace.sh

3. If you are on a AMD system you must patch files that the update installed. Run the following command! AMD ONLY

sudo ./patcher 10.4.7_update_patches.txt

4. Replace kernel with old one.

sudo mv /backup_1046/mach_kernel /mach_kernel

5. Replace Kernel Framework!

sudo cp /backup_1046/*.plist /System/Library/Frameworks/Kernel.framework/Versions/A/Resources/

6. Replace Extensions.

sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions /System/Library/Extensions_1047

sudo cp -R /backup_1046/Extensions /System/Library

7. Replace OpenGL.framework

sudo mv /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework_1047

sudo cp -R /backup_1046/OpenGL.framework /System/Library/Frameworks

Reboot...

I did it as discribed for AMD.. but I had no success yet. Am I doing something wrong?

How did you apply the patch?

Thanks!

Sorry! Got it :P I'm just to stupid to do something as it is written ^^

Worked that way:

Creating Backups.

Installing 10.4.7 Intel update (downloaded from apple.com)

applying the patch as discribed in the readme.

About this mac is now working.. and so on ;)
