smnhtkmpr
Hi, after a fresh install of 10.6 on my system and the succesful update to 10.6.7 my graphics card is causing some trouble... qe/ci is working but the animations (minimize a window to dock) are still laggy. efi strings don't seem to solve this problem. anyone an idea how to get rid of it? smnhtkmpr
Alright, the animations don't seem to be the only problem. look at the screenshot of the dashboard I attached, the squares round the weather widget... what's going on here?
fragreaver
Same here. I've been ripping my arms out on this and I can't figure it out :/ The card worked perfectly under 10.6.4 with the device id inserted into the NVDAResman.kext
fragreaver
I finally figured it out It's beamsync that causes the issue (at least on my box). You can verify that by installing XCode (on the SL dvd), go to /Developer/Tools/ and launch Quartz Debug. Set Beamsync to disabled and et voila... Just gotta work out how to disable it permanently... edit: this just introduced horrible tearing for f*ck sake, this is driving me nuts
mitch_de
Some kind of texture transport + sync problem. Does you OC the PCI or Graphicsbooster (both in most BIOS available ) usage ? Try to set 100 Mhz PCI fixed (or any other MHz little below 100 Mhz) Also an must that the real MB of the card = show MB in the system profiler graphiccard. If diff also such problems. fragreaver
Memory is the same, I've set the pcie frequency to 100MHz; I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks for the tip
fragreaver
I switched to Lion DP4 today and what shall I say. The card works again just fine with NVenabler64 So I won't try anything more with 10.6.x
VooD
I switched to Lion DP4 today and what shall I say. The card works again just fine with NVenabler64 So I won't try anything more with 10.6.x In my case I had to disable AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext in order to get proper perfomance in both 10.6.x and 10.
