1. Hi, this is a very strange problem that has never happened to me before. Whenever I need administrative privileges and the window comes up, I cannot enter anything and the window itself is kinda blank (like in the attached picture). Tried to repair permissions, no luck here. Reboot didn't help either...any clues? edit: Nevermind, creating a new user account always does the trick as it seems

Supported Graphics cards with Full QE/QI

Gigabyte 9500GT 1GB fully working with NVEnabler (qe/ci/memory)

Anyone installed DP4?

Whoops Didn't notice that. Well, it's here: 1. System Settings 2. Language & Text 3. Text 4. Correct spelling automatically

8600 GT - QE/CI working but still laggy

I switched to Lion DP4 today and what shall I say. The card works again just fine with NVenabler64 So I won't try anything more with 10.6.x

Anyone installed DP4?

I got it installed, full qe/ci/resolution (with nvenabler64), sound, 64bit working, but no network :/ Gotta try ##### later edit: fully working Contrary to 10.6.7, which had really poor graphic performance. Gotta install it to my sad now as it runs pretty stable for my needs

Memory is the same, I've set the pcie frequency to 100MHz; I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks for the tip

I finally figured it out It's beamsync that causes the issue (at least on my box). You can verify that by installing XCode (on the SL dvd), go to /Developer/Tools/ and launch Quartz Debug. Set Beamsync to disabled and et voila... Just gotta work out how to disable it permanently... edit: this just introduced horrible tearing for f*ck sake, this is driving me nuts

Same here. I've been ripping my arms out on this and I can't figure it out :/ The card worked perfectly under 10.6.4 with the device id inserted into the NVDAResman.kext

Help with NVDAResman.kext

I tried NVEnabler (64bit) and EFI-String method. No success. According to this thread the problem could be caused by different power states?

Help with NVDAResman.kext

The NVDANV50Hal already has it... :/

Help with NVDAResman.kext

Up until 10.6.4, I already had qe/ci out of the box, but I had to add my device id (0x064010de, it's a 9500GT) to NVDAResman.kext' Info.plist in the IOPrimaryPCIMatch section to make it smooth. Without it, it just seemed like hardware acceleration was turned off and everything lagged. I updated to 10.6.7 yesterday and there's no IOPrimaryPCIMatch section in that plist file anymore Anybody has a clue where they've gone? That's really the only thing I need to get going thanks in advance
12. Argh...it was no bsod, per se. Turning the screen off an on again worked out. Propably something with the hdmi handshake? Who knows... Duh... now for finding that damn driver. It's not GeForce.kext and not GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle...
13. Updated to 10.6.5 from 10.6.4 last night, everything works but gfx. It's stuck at bluescreen, but I hear growl starting up (*pling*). I always used EFI string, but now some kext seems to block / interfere with it. Bootloader is Cham RC4 with GraphicsEnabler set to "y"... It's a 9500GT with 1024MB. Clue, anyone?
14. Blackosx» no luck with your modified dsdt. Neither dvd nor harddrives work :/ Can't tell anything about PS/2, as I'm using USB keyboard and mouse. Anyway, I finally gotta switch to sata completely. My pioneer 111d has served me for over 4 years now. Time to put him to rest
15. Thanks, I'll test it as soon as I'm back home today
