When i booted the DVD in verbose it gives me error like: "ElltioForceLegacyRTC has corrupted the registry" Screenshot Noob help needed to install "Mac OS X Hazard 10.6.6i" on my HP Compaq NC6400 notebook. A good place to start would be searching your computer model in the Google search box at the top of the page. I found a thread which linked to the following page: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...ortables#NC6400. This should point you in the right direction. If you need any help, you can PM me and I'll try to help you if you get stuck. dothacker
... Mac OS X has REGISTRY? kidding aside, that just means your computer is kicking ElliotForceLegacyRTC.kext off because well, it doesn't need it. read the guide above... and use iATKOS S3 V2 (as suggested) or do a retail install. Pay close attention to the sentence with BOLD letters. Danyel12
you could also try removing the kext that's causing the problem. You can do this by: starting your computer and when the bootloader is prompted, type in -s. After, the loading will stop at some point Type in : /sbin/mount -uw / rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/ElliotForceLegacyRTC.kext rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/* reboot( don't use the button , type in reboot) After the PC reboots , use -v and see if it hangs anymore. BTW: i don't think your video card will work, it's the mobility series wich isn't supported by mac. I suggest buying a nvidia or a ati radeon HD card , with that you have some hopes. He is booting off the Install DVD when he gets the error, he can't remove the kext from it (READ-ONLY). TMW99
It seems if you delete VoodooHDA.kext it helps with that error, or atleast that's what fixed my nc6400.
